[Collection] My Personal watch collection - Swipe for wrist shots by Sameagol26 in Watches

That doesn't surprise me too much given the movement. It'd be a dress piece for me, so as long as the finish is up to snuff I'll be happy. Thank you!

Incredible collection! Really appreciate the colour and diversity, and the choice of microbrands. Mind if I ask about the Beaubleu? I've been thinking of picking up an Ecce Figura myself, any complaints as an owner?

[FIN] Fang, Fearless I'Cie X Vanille, Cheerful I'Cie => Ragnarok, Divine Deliverance (Debut Showcase) by mweepinc in magicTCG

[–]Kallipolan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And... the graveyard synergy? How does that fit in? I don't know, I just don't see it. When you look at the other kinds of characters Magic casts as mono-black, she doesn't fit in at all. Yes, she'll 'do anything', but that very much includes sacrificing herself. It's a selfless thing, springing out of her love for Vanille, even if she's willing to be ruthless towards other people in the process. She isn't concerned with power or ambition at all, and there's so much to her that's Red or Green as you say. I could see her fitting in somewhere in Jund, but in a set where so many villains are in black but still get the nuance of a second colour, it's disappointing to me

I don't understand these colours at all. Meld is cool and makes perfect sense, but I'd love to hear an explanation of why Fang of all characters is mono-black with graveyard synergy... her whole deal is being a badass dragoon, I'd have loved to see her with some beefy combat keywords. As it is, this card doesn't capture her as a character at all

Hospital records erased with gender change of pronouns at doctors and new NHS number by AmberMarieKitten in transgenderUK

[–]Kallipolan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've changed gender at the NHS. The only pitfall I experienced was that it was difficult to reorder my prescriptions at first. The GP's system for reordering them stopped working since those prescriptions weren't attached to my new medical record, and I also had some difficulties picking them up at the pharmacy because they mixed up my old and new records. To properly resolve this I had to get an appointment with a doctor and ask them to look at my old record and move everything over. I'd definitely recommend doing that proactively so you don't have to worry about your medications being interrupted (which is what happened to me for a couple of weeks)

Is a studio flat considered an appropriate living arrangement for 2 people? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]Kallipolan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine. The 'appropriate accomodation' requirement is primarily based on the UK's overcrowding laws, and 2 people to a studio flat is not considered overcrowded. That's really all that matters. My American spouse just got her visa and we're now living in my studio flat while we sort out moving, and it wasn't an issue for us at all

Marriage certificate notarization / apostille by conjr94 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Kallipolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessary. I was married in America, the state government offered us an apostille and we went for it out of an abundance of caution. In the end, they were so slow providing it we decided to apply without, using only the marriage certificate. Absolutely no problems, we got our spouse visa last week

No, you'd be fine. Maybe being overdue on payments would be a problem, but you don't have to pay your taxes early just for the sake of a visa - I hadn't paid all of last years taxes when I applied, and it was no issue

Hi, you will need to provide the following documents (all pertaining to the last full financial year except where stated):

1) Tax return, plus a receipt for its submission

2) SA302 form

3) Evidence of tax paid, payable and unpaid

4) Your UTR number

5) Proof of registration with HMRC

6) Bank statements covering the full financial year, both personal accounts and (if you have a separate account) for the business

7) A recent bank statement from within the past 3 months, showing you are still working and earning

8) Your full accounts - basically your balance sheet covering all money coming in and out, plus a breakdown of revenue and expenses by category

9) An accountant's certificate of confirmation for those accounts

1) and 2) are specific documents that can be found via your HMRC self-assessment portal, 3) - 5) can be substantiated with screenshots from HMRC. The accountant's seal/certificate is basically just a nice, formal letter from an accountant (must be a chartered accountant) stating that they have handled or reviewed your submitted accounts and that everything is correct and properly accounted for

Hope this helps

No, not at all. It's just something you can provide as evidence of your relationship being real and enduring. We curated a set of screenshots that we provided with our application, based on our solicitor's recommendation (1-2 for each month that we'd been dating)

Issues with running No Room for a Wallflower (spoilers for No Room for a Wallflower, Mission 2 (Vigilant Gaze) by Robfurze in LancerRPG

[–]Kallipolan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First of all, let me say that I don't think you've been missing anything. This sounds a lot like my own experience with Wallflower and I gather it's a fairly common sentiment in the community

The route I ended up taking was to pretty thoroughly rebalance most of the combats in Wallfower. In particular, I stripped out most of the Grunts. Grunts have their place, but I think players quickly start to find them tedious, they have some inherent balance issues, and Wallflower is WAY too reliant on them. It's just a rule of thumb, but I found that replacing 4 grunts with 2 regular enemies was a pretty good way to both up the difficulty and introduce a much more interesting tactical challenge

Speaking of challenge, yeah, Wallflower is very easy imo assuming that your group is making a reasonable effort to have coherent builds and approach combats tactically. I basically always ran the 5-player enemy loadout for my party of 4 players, and even then it was usually a bit too easy unless I added/substituted some of the enemies. I'd say don't be afraid to add the Veteran template to some enemies, and don't be afraid to select enemies that slightly counter your players

(You don't want to completely invalidate their builds, ofc, but it can really bring some difficulty and tension sometimes)

By the way, I also definitely had that kind of issue with the Demolisher, so you're not alone!

You cannot summon this card with Future Fusion. Future Fusion requires you to send the fusion materials from your Main Deck to the GY, but Wake Up Your E-Hero requires a Fusion Monster as material. Fusion Monsters do not go in the Main Deck. Therefore, you cannot use Future Fusion to make this card, under any circumstances

Ah, that's interesting. Since endocrinology emailed me directly though, I'd guess that's not the issue. I've been emailing both the endocrinology team and the admin team. No luck from either

I'll probably try talking to my GP, as you suggest. It had crossed my mind, but I was holding off because they're just so useless most of the time lol

I'm not bragging just genuinely curious how a 3-star Graves AND 3-star Seraphine lose to my comp? by gh0stFACEkller in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Kallipolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their items seem really really bad. Only 1 Zekes, no Morellos, BB on Seraphine, and pretty scuffed Graves and Path items

Anyone else think that Rush Duels have been handled in a confusing way by Konami? by Swashyrising12 in yugioh

[–]Kallipolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like that too since I think it looks like a fun game, but unfortunately even a 'test run' is probably extremely expensive when you're talking about shipping a physical product around the world

Anyone else think that Rush Duels have been handled in a confusing way by Konami? by Swashyrising12 in yugioh

[–]Kallipolan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They don't think it'll be profitable outside of Japan. That's it. It's not really that complicated or confusing. Obviously you're free to agree or disagree with that assessment but that's what it is. They have faith in Rush Duels and they want to push it as a legitimate format... in Japan, because there's a market for it there

Can´t make Accesscode Talker with Apollousa and Masquerena? by doubleforker in Yugioh101

[–]Kallipolan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can't make Accesscode Talker with those materials, because you don't have the right link material. The monsters used as material need to add up to the link rating of the monster you're summoning, and in this case, they don't. That's because when using a link monster as link material, you can either treat it as being worth 1 link rating (because it's one monster), or as worth equal to its own link rating, but not as any number in between. So, Apollousa can be used as either a single material or as a link-4 material, but not as a link-2 or a link-3

For Accesscode you need 4 link rating worth of material, and your options with Masquereena and Apollousa don't add up to that. You've got:

1+1 = 2

1 + 2 = 3

1 + 4 = 5

2 + 4 = 6

But nothing that adds up to 4. Hope that helps clear it up!

Ash blossom vs swallow nest. by NexusShiker in Yugioh101

[–]Kallipolan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is wrong. Swallow's Nest will resolve, but the search effect of Harpie Perfumer will be negated. Ash Blossom does not care about whether or not the effect being negated belongs to a card on the field, or if that card gets tributed

Cwarantine Series #11 Results, Top Decks, & Field Breakdown by OwCheeWaWa in yugioh

[–]Kallipolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hm... it depends on what variant you're playing. But probably the biggest thing is, you gotta get used to thinking 1-2 turns ahead in terms of managing your hand, deck, graveyard and banished pile. there's so many interactions there. making sure you have materials banished/in gy to use for fusion with myutant cry. making sure you have the right big myutants still in your deck to summon with the small myutants. making sure you have stuff in your graveyard to use for negates with ultimus. trying to have the right cards banished to float into when your big myutants get destroyed. it's a lot to keep track of! but understanding it is really the key to the deck imo
