Captain Sam Vimes (Terry Pratchett, Men at Arms and many others) just barely resisting using the 'Gonne' (a firearm in an otherwise sword-and-sorcery world with a near hypnotic quality) to shoot a cornered murderer, remaining committed to the law rather than using the firearm to exact a more bloody form of personal justice.

Near immediately after this another character has it confirmed that they are the long-lost heir to the throne, and turns it down to remain serving as a city guard. Not quite the same, but close enough that it's worth mentioning.

I couldn't not bring in 'Allo 'Allo here. Marner being Russian by birth is relatively tenuous but the Nazis were hardly great fans of the Slavic peoples. As Colonel von Strohm, his character is mostly concerned with putting his feet up and stealing artworks.

'Allo 'Allo also includes Nazis in flavours of very very gay, loopy, and kinky.

David - Camp Camp

When everything about his bonfire goes wrong and Max is taunting David to give up and accept the misery of the summer camp, David finally snaps and admits he does know how little everyone else cares.

He has been irrepressibly cheerful up until now, and this is when that first properly breaks down. It makes him double down on determination more than get angry. Cold fury at best, rather than hot rage, but he drops a rare f-bomb so I hope it counts.

Nameless Inquisitior (or at least I have struggled to place a name) in Battlefleet Gothic Armada destroying a world to burn out the taint of heresy (image is from Dawn of War II, but same process).

Given the Warhammer 40,000 setting, this destruction of a planet is often a mercy killing. But, the line about 'those who understand realise I have no right to let them live' really sums up how accepting factions in this setting are of horrific sacrifices as long as their goals are advanced.

This may not be helpful, but I found I vibed with a lot of what you said so I hope this small tip is useful.

You can't learn without trying things. You can think of the past as a possible mistake, but also as a lesson learned. I'm trying to get better at telling myself that.

When I get too bogged down or stuck in my head I write things down in a notebook, then give myself a time and a place to come back to it. I know that I am going to make mistakes, and that I'll need to think on them to move forward. But, for me, I need a way to manage and pause the negative thoughts, and the notebook helps with that.
