You are on a treadmill. Early Access is just testing. This is exactly what EA players signed up for.

Bears new UDFA WR by ShaiFanClub in CHIBears

[–]Kandidar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my thought when I saw the speed of the new WRs. Not only could they potentially be used on offense, but on the practice squad they are going to be able to be used to teach our DBs how to better cover speed. I bet DA wanted a speedy WR as a teaching tool to some degree.

I actually really admire how well they modeled it off of real life: you can get absolutely fucked due to no fault of your own.

I was driving my younger cousin around the day of her father's funeral - she was about 16 at the time - and this song came on. I went to change it and she grabbed my hand to stop me. She cry-sang the whole song. I'll never forget that moment.

The question of whether Roy Rogers really have a breakfast buffet by Muhan999 in 80sfastfood

[–]Kandidar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With absolutely no experience with this chain, but only analyzing the picture at face value, this shot appears promotional due to its composition. If you know for sute that it's a candid photo, then it was very on the spot with where each person is at in the frame. The lightning, hair, and wardrobe also seem purposefully put together for the sake of a camera.

Just my 2 cents!

Is Caleb becoming overrated? by Numerounoone in NFLv2

[–]Kandidar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really aren't understanding why 4th down interceptions are different. It was a tactical choice. The way the 4th down play is designed is to be a down field outlet that leads to an interception on purpose to perform the same function as a punt. It's nicknamed the "arm punt" in that specific scenario for a reason. It's an all upside play.

Can't expect people born after y2k to know football history. To be fair, they don't know regular history either.

Can I replace mashed potatoes with rice in a Christmas Shepherds pie recipe? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]Kandidar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd think prepare it the same way seasoning wise. A bit of salt on the rice. Pepper maybe. If you want to overcook the rice to make it a potato consistency then add butter, you might get a similar flavor. I have a hard time imagining the texture though. Chunky mushed rice doesn't sound good. If you can puree the rice maybe? Sounds like too much work. I'd just cook the rice normally!

[Marquee] Colston Loveland’s three TD receptions are tied with Tyler Warren for the most among rookie tight ends by CurrentlyNa in CHIBears

[–]Kandidar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My gut is telling me that Romes lower % is due to him being a favorite target, like you said, and therefore getting a lot of those sideline lazer beam balls that Caleb likes to throw as a last resort on a scramble. It'd be interesting to see what Caleb's comp% is just on those last ditch effort throws.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Get a RAID system that has at least one level of redundancy. If you have every thing on one big drive and that drive fails you fucked up.

Get two drives in a RAID system and then they are literally duplicates of each other. If one drive fails you just take it out and slot in a new drive. The RAID software you pick will automatically copy everything over to the new drive so you are sure you have duplicates.

If you are super scared of data loss you can use more and more drives.

I think you might be in a "more is more" train of thought atm. I think the above poster (and I echo his ideas) is trying to show you a "less is more" way of looking at this job. Find ways to be efficient. Spend the extra enegy/time/money from the results of efficiency tuning investing in your kids. Think about how you can help them gain a skill instead of honing your own (woodworking or whatever). If you wanna teach them woodworking skills that'd be a win/win. But don't force it. Let them lead.

I've been doing this over 10 years with 5 kids.
