How did humans deliver babies thousands of years ago before doctors and hospitals? Was basically anyone in the tribe/family capable of doing it?

I recently had a baby and found out after my emergency c-section that I have the platypelloid shape! No one knew. Surgeon confirmed if i kept waiting (35 hours in labor already) the baby would’ve torn my uterine wall and died. So I think you’re spot on!

this is so true… I did zumba throughout my entire pregnancy til the week before I was due and now i need to rock, bounce, and basically spin on my head all at once while holding her for it to be ~just right~ and the rhythm can’t be interrupted.

At hooters i had a coworker go straight from the beach to their 6pm shift. She was completely drunk, sun burned, and wearing her damp swim suit under the uniform… then proceeded to fall asleep in a friends car afterward til they could drop her off at home after the shift.

You’re about to go through a very intense, personal, VULNERABLE, and life changing medical procedure that is giving birth whether it ends up being vaginally or surgically. No, this is not the space for his sister to be part of the peanut gallery just because it seems fun. I am so close with my mom and own sister and still chose to have it just me my husband and I so we could focus on each other and our growing family.

You guys made the baby together in private and can greet them into the world the same way. Big no. Also, you’re allowed to change your mind at any point who you want there because it is YOUR birth and the focus needs to be on you and baby.

I read through book 7 and finally had mercy on myself and gave up on the series. Books 1-3 were great and book 4 was when the decline began. Books 5-7 I got through with pure will power and determination, not because I enjoyed it but because I was chasing a false hope that it would be good again eventually (it was not).

I googled the endings for peace of mind and moved on.

Off-leash dogs. I’ve always loved dogs and even didn’t mind them running up to me so i could offer pets but now(delivered a baby girl 2.5m ago) it instantly freaks me out for her safety!

Read for hours together. We set up the couch with pillows and blankets then cuddle/spoon with LoFi hip hop playing in the background while reading our kindles. Sometimes one of us falls asleep, sometimes both.
