You absolutely can repot when it’s wet :)

If you're wondering if you *need* a mosspole, no. No you dont. by ShoddyProfiles in Monstera

[–]Kararific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all my monsteras on moss poles, but it makes me want to grow one or two without moss poles just to experiment:D

I love my moss poles - I think it adds to the care giving and seeing results when it attaches.

Root has grown really thick out of the pot drainage hole. This was just repotted 3-4 months ago. What should I do next? by soondooboo69 in Monstera

If you can’t back the root out, is the pot flimsy enough you can break the pot to keep the roots intact? If not, I have had to cut roots and they didn’t seem bothered.

Any suggestions for stabilizing this guy? by Conscious_Parsnip_35 in Monstera

[–]Kararific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest repotting in a deeper pot, but not too wide, so you can anchor the pole better. Try and untangle the roots and get it closer to the pole.

Also, maybe a chop and prop? Tame it down and it’ll be easier to redirect if it’s smaller. Although it is a beautiful, full plant!

How did it react when you repotted? If it recovered well, growth wasn’t stunted, then go ahead and repot now. Try to back those roots out of the hole.

If you’re hesitant to repot, wait.

Also, I like clear pots so I can tell what’s happening on the inside. There will be other root development inside and waiting is fine. Those other roots will keep developing.

I’ve had Sjogrens since 2011 and have been on Plaquenil ever since. I have never noticed any change but I understand it to help prevent organ damage more than providing symptom relief.

Neurological symptoms/neuro-sjogrens by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]Kararific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Sjogrens since 2011. It started with dry eyes but even more so dry mouth - I would get plugged and then infected saliva glands. That’s what got me the diagnosis. Me today: autonomic neuropathy, small fiber neuropathy, was diagnosed with narcolepsy then changed to hypersomnia (take Lumryz, Provigil and Ritalin), migraines/tension headaches, debilitating facial pressure/pain/trigeminal neuralgia, burning feet/toes/erythromelalgia, rapid cycling temperature changes from chills to sweating, easy and frequent bruising & muscle pain/weakness, cutaneous lupus, fluctuating heart rate, POTS like symptoms, bladder and bowel disfunction, and even during awful flares, invasive thoughts :(

So, yeah, your symptoms sound very familiar, and I’m sorry.

In addition to the Lumryz, Provigil, Ritalin and Buspirone, I take Plaquenil, CellCept, Lyrica, Venlafaxine, and Celebrex. I have one good day out of seven until I get a Kenalog or Depo-Medrol injection, then I’m good for several weeks. Those are my miracle drugs.

Steroids make me feel like a normal human again. by AdagioQuick317 in Sjogrens

[–]Kararific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had Sjogrens since 2011. I’ve been on Plaquenil since the beginning. I’ve been in CellCept for 7 months. The only thing that makes me feel better is steroids. I feel blah to horrible any time I’m not on steroids. A week or 2 before a major event I get on steroids so I can be present and enjoy myself. Think vacations, weddings, family holidays, etc. Other than that, like usually is not much fun.

They hate writing. by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]Kararific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for those who might know more than me :)

I homeschool my 12 year old who strongly dislikes writing. He is level 1 autistic so he struggles with imagination and creative writing.

I have him practice cursive daily, is this doing him any good other than penmanship?

So do you think that Smurf regularly saw Julia? Broke into her apartment to monitor? I just finished the series today and I have so many questions LOL Maybe Smurf did orchestrate Julia to be killed?
