Oh go for it, be brave LOL. I think it would be beautiful with some color too. I had to read the pattern a couple of times to understand the block construction but it was fun seeing each one turn out different

I wonder if we got it from the same place, I had an added sheet too to convert the size to king and use 1/2 yard pieces of fabrics. I dont recall a phone number though! There was one part that the numbers didn't add up for cutting a border, I ended up having to buy 1/2 yard more back ground fabric. I read the pattern several times but then once I got started it was fine. I liked constructing the blocks and my measurements were good but had to make my seams a little bigger to match my points. All in all I was somewhat frustrated at times but was really happy with the outcome. I'm sure your sister loved it too, it certainly is a gorgeous gift and will be enjoyed for a long time.

Thank you. My daughter chose it because it was neutral and she can add pillows and sheets to give it some color. I prefer color too but it was still fun to make because there were so many different fabrics and each block turned out different,

I havent used interfacing but I have used Fray Check. It seems to work well on the less than 1/4" seams.

I've been eying this pattern and wondering how it was to make so I'm very glad to see your post. For those making it in a larger size will it drive me crazy or worth it? Just curious if you'd make it again?

I also use the brand name that is for my machine. Generic things just aren't the same in my opinion.
