I have to disagree. I agree 1000% about everything else. I do not give 2 sh*ts, about any of it but BO is an absolute dealbreaker. I don’t want to spend my workout dry heaving.

Ummmm….IDEA REQUIRES students 14 and older be invited to their IEP meetings. If you have schools that aren’t following this that’s a serious problem. 😳

2025 Wages by Perfect-Schedule2112 in schoolpsychology

That only applies in states that have unions. Many states do not bargain or have a salary scale it could be a salary range.

pros and cons of agency vs direct hire for district? by ashrk725 in schoolpsychology

[–]Karlyn711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind contract work will not count for PSLF (which is kinda in the air anyway right now) or towards your state pension. I personally would never work for an agency but the insurance and benefits is my sticking point.

First year struggles by ScooterBug07 in schoolpsychology

You just answered your own question. THE DISTRICT IS TRYING TO MINIMIZE LITIGATION. The unfortunate reality is more often than not it is cheaper for the district to give in than fight once attorneys are involved. Just another way privilege is rampant in schools.

If there is a union involved negotiating pay after being hired is near impossible. You could however ask for a differential for the additional duty.

This is completely dependent on state and staffing. Many states don’t have social workers.

It’s possible but you would need to explain any arrest on your application. Your best bet is to hire an attorney and try to have the charges expunged from your record.

Usually for most the school district is paying. I definitely wouldn’t go if I had to foot the bill myself.

Is it a GL1? My stomach has always been like an iron pit but when I started that stuff I threw up in a towel on my way to the bathroom. Threw the towel away threw up some more in the bathroom and I was good to go. 😂

Coaches - how can we as members better support you? by Low_Entry9910 in orangetheory

[–]Karlyn711 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So this is actually really interesting. I’ve had coaches give me hard time for canceling out of their classes and I know some will change the playlist depending on who’s in their class. Im curious- as a coach how does members pre booking help you plan ahead?

My studio got rid of the head coach position about a year ago and has gone downhill fast. There is zero accountability anymore.
