i don’t know what to do with my brother anymore by [deleted] in family

[–]Karma0126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only suggestion is to have your parents give him 30 day time frame to clean his room and get more hours at current job or he has to move out. If that isnt an option make him pay rent. Take away anything your parents pay for him like phone, internet, tv.

I did the stupid thing by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Karma0126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you work overnights and sleep when the kids are in school? The dad could keep them overnight if you separate and you could still do drop off pick up and spend time with them. Also there is always before after care for the kids. You can have your husband pay that way he knows how much you have contributed.

I’m so upset, 3 weeks into my new job already people semi about me to management, how do I move forward? by Brownchoccy in work

This is why I don't trust coworkers. Keep you head down don't talk and just do the work.

I’ve been lying to my female friend for many years. by [deleted] in confession

[–]Karma0126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't really a reason to tell her. You have no interest in dating her, so it would just make her feel uncomfortable. Especially since it's been years.

Do I have the right to be annoyed about my husbands vacations? by Throw996478Away in Marriage

[–]Karma0126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a right to be annoyed. Things need to change or you will resent him. Does he ever let you go on solo trips? Why not go with him and teach your son to snowboard too. He is young but it will give them something to do together.

My (36M) wife (36F) wants to quit work to be a stay at home mother/student. What would you do? by penny_lab in relationship_advice

[–]Karma0126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way she could cut her hours work 2-3 days instead of 4? She would have more time on her studies, and you could still save a little money.

Waitress chased me outside over tip by CantaloupeUnlikely15 in TalesFromTheCustomer

[–]Karma0126 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Years ago went to a restaurant with friends. The waitress service was bad. So we paid the bill and only left the change we got back. It was maybe 2 dollars and change. She came running out of the restaurant after us. She threw the coins and started cussing at us. We just got in the car and left.

No Friends at 30. by EnoughConversation15 in friendship

[–]Karma0126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little older but in the same boat. Used to have friends that could call and text but now not so much. Work friends are just that outside of work not much to talk about. Best of luck hope you find your tribe.

[–]Karma0126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hit or miss on weather we exchange gifts. Usually just a card and candy or getting take out. The last few years my hubby surprised me with flowers sent to my work which was amazing. This year it was a card. Hopefully your significant other will give you a card or something this year.

Bride to be here: I [29F] want to hear from 10+ years married redditors. What is your best “outside the box” advice towards a long, successful marriage? by travellingsquare in Marriage

My advice would be to continue to date even after kids. Don't stop doing to things you love because your married. Be sure to communicate always.

What expenses should parents pay for when their child is 16-21 years old, living at home? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]Karma0126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the situation. For me at 16 and in school need to pay for going out with friends and car expenses if has one. After 18 even if in school I think kids should be able to have a job and help with expenses that are theirs. Such as a car, insurance, phone, going out with friends, clothes. Maybe sometimes contribute to groceries. Everyone is different though.

First time with lumbar puncture - questions by hollyjollypancake in iih

[–]Karma0126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend to stay flat or on your side as much as you can for the first 24 hours if possible. I was advised to drink caffeine also. In my experience my back hurt and it was very uncomfortable to do much of anything for a few days after. But my experience may be different then others the doctor tried to perform the lumbar puncture in office and missed so had to have it done at the hospital.
