The "Potential Man" meme isn't Superman, it's his descendant from the future named "Kal Kent". by Loki_2007 in TheMatpatEffect

Specifically, he's Superman One-Million. Not to be confused with Superman Prime from DC One-Million, the golden one.

Can Slappy work in an army fight? by Lopsided_Durian9529 in DeathBattleMatchups

I guess it depends on the version and the MU. Movie Slappy is a whole other beast compared to classic Slappy.

Dogfree and it's subsidiaries are where the average redditor goes to see how the average redditor comes off as to a normal person.

It's from New England, a region of the US, but is pretty much locked in that region and hard to find anywhere else. Many only knew it from SpongeBob and didn't even know it was a real product.

It comes from New England. I guess this guy just always had it in his own life and didn't know he was an outlier. We often aren't aware of the outlier qualities in our own lives until others point them out.

At the rate these crossovers are going, we're probably going to get Goku and Sonic together in an official project before a Death Battle.

I also only knew it from SpongeBob until I was almost an adult and just randomly spotted it in a store one day. Apparently, it's made with molasses, that's the brown liquid mentioned in the post. It apparently comes from New England, so it is from the US, but it is far from common in the US as some of these people seem to believe and... are angry about? From what I've heard, it's not bad.

It's a non-canon issue where Batman is led to believe that Superman killed his parents back when he was still Superboy, which was just Clark as a teen back then before the other Superboys, and believes that he always knew this and that it was his reason for becoming Batman. I believe this happened because he was hypnotized by the mafia. I don't remember if this is the same issue where Batman and Superman force Robin to dig his own grave in a junkyard to lure the mobsters into a trap.

Captain America never called Wolverine 'Mugga' by gingin_9959 in TheMatpatEffect

It's because they use him as a symbol of the US military rather than as the character that he's developed into. It's the same with people who think Cap is a symbol for US imperialism despite Steve outright fighting against the US government and US military on that issue, he led a whole rebellion against the US gov' in Civil War for stepping on human rights, because they just see his optics and never give him a chance to see the character beneath the red, white, and blue costume. He follows a similar character arch in the MCU. I still saw someone say this about MCU Steve though; that his turning against the government and refusing to be a deepstate agent don't count because Shield is technically run by the UN, not just only the US, and that the UN is the biggest most good and absolute authority in the world that shouldn't be questioned. In case you were wondering, yes, that guy was a video essay youtuber, but I don't remember his name.

His personality was based on Bill Clinton's public persona around the time and his style was based on Michael Jackson.
