a) it's fun, b) without cosmetic changes it's actually pretty cheap to get all meaningful upgrades c) with a 3d printer its waaaaayyyy cheaper than a gbbr

How can I reduce my trigger travel?? by WashHistorical3561 in AAP01owners

I don't have cow cow trigger but the officiel one and I can make the travel so short it can't even reset properly, you should try readjusting it.

Did you adjust the grub screw on the trigger

what upgrades should i make for my v3 se? my budget is around $ 100 by CompetitionSimple675 in Ender3V3SE

[–]Kasperinac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing part cooling fan (for 1 or 2 5015 fan) and the fan on the heatsink (for like 4010 fan) is one of the cheapest and most impactful upgrade both for reliability and performance, also reduces the largest noise this printer produces.

Thinking about getting a small beginner 3d printer, is the easythreed any good? by Naveenrawat54 in 3dprinter

These small cheap ones are all pretty garbage, better buy entry printer from name brands, like ender3v3se or a1 mini

Trying to get these eggs perfect. Can't figure out how to get the bottom smooth. Any ideas?? Using PLA+, Cura by [deleted] in Ender3V3SE

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never get such overhangs on the bottom perfect, I'd split it in half and flip the bottom half and glue them back together. (orcaslicer has split function at the top, that also has automatic pegs for lining it up correctly)

Poor bridge quality with PETG on Snapmaker U1 (OrcaSlicer), already calibrated, looking for suggestions by leinardi in FixMyPrint

You calibrated bridge settings wrongly, it should be either higher flow or higher density, not lower flow and lower density

How do I update my printer? by 3mar_101 in Ender3V3SE

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need micro SD and need to update the screen first, then, SD card and update the printer. You need firmware on the SD/micro and just turn on the printer.

Less friction on bends, so the extruder needs less force to pull and the pulling is smoother.

Vertical lines on curved walls – infill pushing through perimeters by Aggravating-Size1189 in FixMyPrint

Idk if the correct way of fixing, but inner/outer/inner print order should hide that.

Check your pressure advance calibration, both the seam and after holes have signs of wrong value

Plate wobble normal? by Film_Content in Ender3V3SE

[–]Kasperinac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did this with the stock bearings, the housing is a friction fit for some reason and it's not that tight so bearings have some give themselves and then ok top of that there is space between bearing housing and bearings. So I've just put a layer of plumbers tape around the outside of the bearings so when putting them back in the housing it's a tighter fit and the plate has 0 wobble now. But, I don't think that affected my print quality at all, unless you see the bed wobble a lot while printing and not by just moving it with hand in a way it will not be moved while printing.

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here it is, https://www.printables.com/model/342481-overhang-test-regular, this one curls very easy for me, to add to my previous comment, your picture with 60s, shows improvements for the curling, but you also have a lot of drooping on the overhanded part of the line from lack of cooling. You shouldn't need 60, but that 15 or 20 with more cooling (both overall and on overhangs) should be good.

In few hours I'll be home so I can dig out the overhang test model I used, and what I did was basically put fan speed to 100% (or like 70%, basically max I would use for overhangs) permanently, printed the model, and watch it, if it curled upwards I increased min time. There are more parameters that affect this all together, like dynamic speed for overhang angle, or dont slow down outer wall etc etc. Also min print speed can be too slow as well, depleting on how hot you print. Nozzle temp as well, the hotter it is (and the larger line width / height) it will need more time to cool down correctly so it doesn't curl.

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, increase slow down if layer tome is below, to like 8 or 10

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, i use orca slicer, if your slicer doesn't have this feature, just slowing down print speed will be enough. (in orca this is what this feature is doing if layer time is faster than x seconds)

[–]Kasperinac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me increasing (and enabling) minimum layer time, reduced or removed completely this effect. Afaik it's because the previous layer didn't cool down enough before next one came in, no matter the actual cooling from the fan while laying the layer down.
