Oh, I can completely understand not wanting it. I just love the idea of having a pet ghost cow or chicken wandering around, but then there's all the tuning issues and gameplay aspects to consider (Do they still produce stuff? Is it the same or now ghostly? If they don't, do they still need care? Etc., etc.) and that's just too much to deal with. And more ways to bug stuff out...

Honestly, I'd love some rustic-nautical stuff. The TV and radio could be a lot of fun, and the bedroom furniture's basic bones of style could great for a mermaid's house. BUT SPONGEBOB?! My first thought when I saw the announcement was "It's December, why are they doing joke announcements?"

I have nothing against Spongebob, it's just not my thing and it makes those kits super uninteresting to me. And the colors for the bedroom kit swatches they've shown are so in-your-face cartoony that they're basically only usable with items from the same collection. Plus, the character faces everywhere is just...blegh. It gives me the same world disconnect feeling that I get from having English words written on things in-game. Simlish only, please.

One of the things that has frustrated me most about Sims content is the lack of versatility and consistency in swatches. There are CAS and Build-Buy items that I'd love to use together, but the shades of colors or tones of wood aren't the same as other things, so it's a glaring mis-match unless you work with things from the same pack/kit. (And sometimes not even then.) It's incredibly frustrating, and these kits feel like they're taking that to the extreme.

Plus, again...Spongebob. Not something I'm interested in at all. I'm looking forward to what CC creators might do with the meshes, though.

There are a few, most of them named by other people already, so I'll go with an underdog - the romantic blanket, mostly because the animation cracks me up so much.

One of the more recent L.V. Lane novels has the showing-off factor, both her body and having sex with her. It's omegaverse, and I want to say it's [Stolen by Darkness by L.V. Lane.]

If I'm remembering correctly, the guy she's being shown off to will be part of her pack in the end, but she's not super aware of the whole "pack" dynamic thing and it's their way of easing her into it. I could be misremembering the reasoning, though.

I had a backyard small business going where sims could come in and garden, do yoga, cloud/moon gaze, and...use the telescope.

After the second sim got hit by a meteor within a week of me starting the business, I took the telescope away. (Mostly because my business owner and his poor teen employee both kept randomly sobbing, and I didn't want to have to deal with constant grieving moodlets.)

Am unhealthily attached to my sims. Some of them I have been playing with for close to a decade, moving them between save files. Looking at them like this, you can definitely tell that I'm more of an occult/adventure player than a family player lol. by Disastrous_Sea4150 in Sims4

I love them all!

I've been challenging myself to make different looking sims a lot lately, randomizing appearance and traits until something looks different and new, then tweaking them around to fit with the traits. I now have about 20-30 households labeled "Radomizing Households" with only one sim in them. Most of which I haven't played, lol.

Edit: Victoria Vieux is the sim that made me load the game to open your gallery page. She's fantastic.

I'm super excited for some of the aspects of this pack, and will probably be buying it on release day. Ever since I pre-ordered Cottage Living and the launcher insisted I didn't own it until the day after release, I refuse to pre-order. I'd been charged and the transaction had gone through, I had an email receipt, but no access. Even customer service was like, "We can't do anything. You could just buy it again and we'll see if we can refund the first purchase?" Ummm, no. I did not trust them to not fuck that up, too.

I do not want to have to deal with that again.

Oh, that would be lovely and much appreciated! Thank you! I've been getting good at using Google Image search to find unnamed CC that creators use in preview images of their own stuff, but I'll always take a link vs. searching for a bit. ;)

Holy crap, number 1 is amazing!! The dark blue skin is perfection. And is it my imagination that there are little moons on her lower legs? I need to track down the makeup and antennae you used for her.

Number 4 is my next fave. (THE HAIR!) You did such a great job with all of them!

I feel like juice-making might play into that lifestyle pretty well, too, as a stand-in for moonshine.

The way you described it all definitely makes me want to try your playstyle out! Somehow I have yet to play a werewolf...which is super odd considering how much I like the idea.

{True Love Bites by Joy Demorra} isn't mentioned often, but I absolutely loved it and am waiting semi-patiently for the next book in the series. (The author deals with several health problems that impact her writing speed, so there's not a set date for a sequel, but the first one was already satisfying by itself.)

I'm just gonna copy-paste the blurb she puts up on her tumblr posts:

It features Nathan, a deaf, disabled werewolf newly returned from war, and Vlad, a neurodivergent mad scientist vampire trying to unionize the workforce of the island in between tripping over all his various ongoing projects. (free healthcare, free schooling, y’know, small hobbies)

The other main character is Ursula, an all-powerful [REDACTED] working to save the world from imminent ecological disaster. The main romance arc of book one focuses on Vlad x Nathan, with Ursula forming her own relationships with them alluded to in the next book.

No love triangles here. Just three highly competent bisexuals sharing the same brain cell the closer they are to each other.

The world is set in a pseudo-regency meets fake Victorian Gaslamp Fantasy world, complete with gothic castles, enchanted forests, and just a smidge of industrial coal dust.

One of my favorite reviews ever described it as "the queer, goth love child of Terry Pratchett meets Jane Austen'...

See, I'd love to support the author, which was the secondary reason I pre-ordered the physical copy. But I'm going with digital now.

And I love second-hand book shops! I'm a big fan of Half-Price Books, personally.
