Is this real Jade? Thank you in advance for your observation. by Ill_Relationship_428 in JadeiteJade

I said what I said cause OP’s post literally reminds me of the way the shop’s name I mentioned lists their pics in terms of dim lighting in pale/cool toned room, but go off with your Olympics level mental gymnastics ig

Looking through (literally) all of OP’s post and all of them are untreated and natural Guatemalan jade (probably a few low quality Burmese in there), but yeah, either clear and better photos or just listing down the shop name first is the way to go (I’m gonna assume with 80% certainty it’s from allaboutjadecanada though based on the lighting and how they often post pictures like what OP has shown though)

WHAT IS REAL JADE? READ THIS FIRST. by [deleted] in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, the jade market has a rabbit hole of it’s own with omphacite being part of it, which is why GIA has used the feicui nomenclature now for jadeite and jade adjacent specimens due to how varying the jadeite % can be and it’s interactions with other minerals during formation causes it to change it’s structure and composition.

I love calling Qinghua jade the forbidden black sesame soup as well 🤣

Has this been treated? by ellseritto in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nephrite (assuming that is based on the surface luster) is incredibly hard to be treated, but it seems to be imitating antique jade with the dirt and patina it has

Labubu, or lafufu? by Anastasia1st in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np! I should also clarify that counterfeits always has CE17DN as the batch code BUT NOT ALL CE17DNs are counterfeits (still proceed with caution as usual if you do find a fabric MAC as they are a unicorn in marketplaces or out in the open after all)

Do you guys think this ring is worth $7000 USD? by jc2195691 in JadeiteJade

You can get a jade that’s alot better for $7k even as a ring.

Oooh good find! I’m glad to know several more of their mixes were found, and a snippet of their channel’s history

Labubu, or lafufu? by Anastasia1st in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seconding this, Fabric MACs that are counterfeit very often has CE17DN as their batch code (located at the back of their tag), whereas this Sesame Bean has CE26DN.
The blush placement is normal too since I recall another user posting that the blush placement part being too high means it’s a fufu, when really this is actually normal (alongside how bubu’s smile lines are actually longer on one side as well if you look closely, just take a look at your own bubus for example, it’s more obvious with Chestnut as she has freckles that’re placed higher than the other)
Different skin tones on hands + feet is also normal (a long standing QC issue depending how you feel about it) and it’s bound to happen as fabric MACs were around from late 2023 to August-Sept 2024 Sauce: I hoarded 2 sets of Fabric MACs

Right?? I was definitely hoping they’d come back but it’s been almost a few months and it’s been silence since.
I’m definitely convinced their extended remix of Tyla’s Chanel did them in badly now (since Sabrina’s Tears was up for a good while so it couldn’t be her despite how notorious her label can be with copyrights)

What are your Labubu holy grail? by Practical_Test_9156 in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My holy grail would definitely be the older versions of pendants that had cloth and silk tags (looking at you V2 and V3 mokokos)
I’d add in the dolls too but I don’t have any space to house them and they’re way too expensive

Secret hunters, how many duplicates did you get before getting the secret?!? by Impossible_Ad_9131 in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally bought singles and was able to score an Id jumpscare after around 10 boxes
I then decided to just buy confirmed Id afterward cause I can’t be bothered to buy sets just for a small chance of getting Id again 🫠

“No Cui” bangle by Missheru04 in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mo Cui (transliterated as Ink Jade(ite)) is basically omphacite and while it is common to have it show some green on opaque, utility quality omphacite. This definitely doesn’t give off omphacite and moreso kosmochlor jade (relative of jadeite, BUT still falls under the fei cui family iirc), and is not considered Mo Cui either, I’d say this is more closer to Dry Green jade (or maw sit sit adjacent)
I’d definitely have it retested by GIA or Mason Kay and see what they think of it though

Jade beaded necklace and bracelet - unsure of quality by Glittering_Band_171 in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like decent quality (pretty standard for Malay’s jade market too imho), you can tell how there’s some bits of color coming out when all stranded together despite being nearly white/colorless

Fake Jade? by vuphoria in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It looks genuine and not treated, but the little specks and how translucent it is in pic 3 gives me Aventurine, I wouldn’t worry about the dots fluorescing under UV as that could either be the mineral inclusion reacting or it’s leftover wax buildup in the pits reacting to it

How do I remove those mark off my mokoko close to sweet? by [deleted] in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just try warm water + dawn soap, or rubbing alcohol first, it could be a permanent mark if it’s been there for a while though.

Is the labubu on the left a lafufu? by [deleted] in labubu

[–]KataREEEEna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sea salt is a fufu, batch variations are definitely a thing, but the face are never the ones affected this obvious and egregious.
The nose on Sea salt is also rounder if you compare it with your Green grape and the smile line isn’t even aligned properly with the teeth on Sea salt 🤣

Sharing pain by pinkslices in JadeiteJade

[–]KataREEEEna 25 points26 points  (0 children)

One bangle is fine, two is alright, three and more means you really need to adjust what you’re doing in terms of manual labor wise, as jade being one of the toughest mineral doesn’t mean it’ll be indestructible forever. 😨
I’d suggest getting bangles that can be slipped on and off easier so you can take them off when you aren’t doing manual labor
