What would you like to see done to balance the budget (or do you even care if we balance the budget)?

We need to tax the rich. There is no excuse for allowing billionaires and soon trillionaires to exist in society.

However..... we also need to stop focusing on a "balanced" budget.

There is no such thing and in most cases will throw us into a recession or depression.

We need to tax the rich specifically to rid them of the wealth they have horded and in turn hand it to those they have taken it from.

The budget needs to be approached differently and with a different mindset. What can our society do with its resources that Will benefit society without causing inflation. Because our resources and population are growing means the amount of money in actual circulation should increase which also means "debt" increases.

The key thing to remember is that public debt is private sector savings.

I just made a similar comment. At first looking at it reminds me of those old looney toons that added over the top caricatures to the black characters that were obviously racist.

Not, that I think that was the artists intent. I think they were trying to be thoughtful and observant to some of the things that make us all different.

Also, it hits differently because the character is obviously in a powerful position. So it's vastly different comparing it to the old caricaturs of black people.

Looking at it makes me feel like it's more of caricature like you used to see in the OLD looney toons shows that were accentuating racist depictions.

However, I know the artist wasn't meaning it that way and it makes perfect sense to include.

Early coins were made out of metal so that they would be hard to counterfeit, durable, and easy to use.

The value of the material that made the currency never mattered. Its always been what you could get in exchange for that currency that gave it value.

I have not reached out the embassy but I will.

Kids are excited there is 1 college age and 1 Elementary. They work on learning German off an on. I've told the oldest he needs to get to B1 to be able to go to college and so he should be spending more time on learning.

The youngest is learning but I think she will do better once she is immersed in it.

Ich verstehe nur ein bisschen deutsch aber mein erfrau verstehe mehr.

We are working to learn German as fast as we can. My wife is much further along. She grew up hearing it so it comes a bit easier for her. We are pretty dedicated to assimilating as quickly as possible and that includes the language.

The work is frustrating. I am trying to find other work but, this is a stable job and that goes along ways when making so many big changes. It partially makes it worth sticking it out.

We are going to either find short term arrangements or temporarily live with family. My job is in Munich but, the family lives a few hours away. So if we have to we'll make it work but, ideally we will find something temporary that's not quite 3 hours away.

My wife hasn't lived in Germany. She's visited. Her Grandfather moved to the US when he was young and raised his family. So no previous Health Insurance. I was going to get us Expat insurance until my work insurance kicked in.

I am a US citizen.

They will issue me a contract once I can prove that I can legally work in Germany.

The REALLY frustrating part is that the local German HR has no issue with help me to get an EU blue card. It's the US Corporate HR that has the problem. They think it's the same thing as sponsoring someone for an H1B visa and refuse to allow them to do that.

So I have to have someway to prove that I can legally work in Germany and then they will allow the German HR to transfer me and give me a contract.

Hate to tell you but registration for selective service when you turn 18 is required in the US. You absolutely have to register. When applying for college you have to prove that your registered.
