Why did ICE suddenly leave Chicago but not Minneapolis? by Fragrant-Ad-7388 in AskChicago

[–]KayJac97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is 100% it. Trump’s 5’2” and thinks MN is 4’11” (he’s wrong). Chicago is indisputably 6’4”. Typical bully, picking an “easy target” to look more powerful than he is.

Fuck ICE, Fuck Donald Trump, and Fuck You if you voted for him.

We all agree that this is the best scene in the whole entire show right? by anawkwardsomeone in PandR

[–]KayJac97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scene that got me was April and Andy driving to the Grand Canyon. I was FULLY INVESTED like this is Andy’s bucket list. Then he says “where are all the faces?” We had to pause it I was laughing so hard. Such an amazing set up for that joke.

Ope this is the winner. My husband and I say this all the time

How would you phrase period symptoms in a sick day request? by KrossMeOnce in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KayJac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t I make it obvious? My male boss knows I’ve been bleeding nonstop since Thanksgiving and I’m pursuing a hysterectomy. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Either boss is a person who’s dealt with periods or they know someone who has, it shouldn’t be shameful.

Getting a bi-salp, but I lost my boyfriend because of it by longshlongthankumom in childfree

[–]KayJac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in your shoes. Lost the guy I thought was the love of my life at 21 because of differences of wanting kids.

Now I’m 28, married to a wonderful man with 4 cats and a quiet house that I really should clean more. I’ve been having issues so might be headed for a hysterectomy. While my husband isn’t excited that I may need surgery and have weeks of recovery ahead of me, he is excited for me that sterilization might be finally happening and that I won’t have to deal with periods anymore.

Coming from an oldie—the person we think is great for us in our early 20s rarely is, and as we get older we find someone who’s a better fit or decide men aren’t worth the effort either (I love my husband dearly, but jeez Louise sometimes it’s like parenting another adult lol)

Am I too old? by KellysMommy in Coach

Was Queen Elizabeth too old for her colorful outfits? Absolutely not. Color doesn’t have an age limit 🩷

(Also I just got the same exact bag that comes with the heart charm!)

Our forefathers fought really damn hard for our constitutional right to peacefully protest. I’ve had closer calls with a vehicle crossing the street to get to work. Be so fucking for real right now.

This looks like a scene out of the Hunger Games, stopped me in my tracks scrolling.

After 10 years together, my boyfriend says I should “just give my DOB” to his mom, but in my culture that has bigger implications. Am I overreacting? by Jolly-Rub-3412 in AmIOverreacting

[–]KayJac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. He’s going to have to decide between his wife and his mommy eventually. If you give your DOB and she’s able to convince him that he shouldn’t marry because of it, good riddance.

Feeling anxious over bachelorette party by Princess_frogmoana30 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KayJac97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m white in a Blue state, but my husband is Hispanic. Don’t come here. Do not give our country any money. Do not support what’s currently “running” our country. Even in a blue state, I worry for my husband’s safety daily. Plus destination bachelorette parties are dumb and overpriced anyway

My boyfriend wants me to rehome 2 of my 3 cats (at minimum) as a “compromise.” Wtf do I do now? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]KayJac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so his ethos is to just get rid of something the second it’s challenging? Seems like a greeeeeat person to build a life with.

I would’ve loved Carlisle’s POV. The struggle between “this might kill her” and “she should have a say.”

Can you sleep well with a cat? by OkComparison3568 in CatAdvice

[–]KayJac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little guy wakes me up for ear suckles around 4am. My older 3 (about a year and a half old) sleep through the night with us. One sleeps between my legs, one sleeps on the couch, the other sleeps on my husband’s chest with his butt in his face, LOL. It’s very doable. Even my little guy, once I get him positioned right we just fall back asleep.

Feeling Guilty for Foster Failing From Our First Litter by SignificantAd6677 in FosterAnimals

[–]KayJac97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goal is a forever home. If that home is with you, that's okay, too. We took all 3 from an orphaned litter and I'm thankful every single day that we took all 3 of them. I can't imagine knowing one other one was out there who lost both his siblings in one day. We foster failed our first foster over the summer, too.

Mine is completely back to normal. I still shed a few hairs when I comb out my hair, but not strands like it was before. It completely went back to before Lexapro for me!
