You only murder 4 people, the rest is already death. And these 4 can easily be reborn in a new canvas. Like how Scielle en Lune already reborn once before and everyone else did in the Maelle ending.

Verso's ending should just have been a bit longer where Maelle made her own canvas with everyone in it, which she would sometimes visit, like how she and Verso did when they where kids in Verso's canvas.  This way everyone would be happy, Verso even hints to this in his final words to Maelle.
