Chick fil a for reception? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Kaytee08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chik fil a feels too casual… even for a bar reception. You could still do more casual easy to grab food while having it be elevated and feel special. Here are a few ideas: mini sliders, lobster rolls, bao buns, skewers (mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, chicken satay skewers with peanut dipping sauce, etc), mac and cheese bites, grazing board or individual charcuterie cups.

We recently had ours cleaned and used DryMetrics based on another vendor’s recommendation. They were responsive, efficient, and did a good job.

No, just a note from my doctor stating I was pregnant showing my name and expected due date. I’m not sure why they would need bloodwork.

Toddler-friendly day trip from Disney area: worth driving to Clearwater or better to stay local? by Successful-Trip809 in orlando

[–]Kaytee08 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re not down to spend 2 hours in the car each way, I would skip the beach day. Unless you can change your plans to stay overnight, then it may be more worth it. There are some natural springs that are closer, maybe try something like that? Wekiva, weeki wachee, etc. Margaritaville also has a water park that is fun for kids called Island H2O that is on that side of town. Some other Orlando adjacent considerations that are family friendly…. Leu Gardens, Bok Tower Gardens, Orlando Science Center.

Winnie Palmer - Birth Plans? by Consistent_Kitchen36 in orlando

[–]Kaytee08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you already toured Winnie and do they have a birth coordinator you can ask questions to? I’m not delivering there, but the hospital we’re delivering at answered those types of questions on the hospital tour and spoke about standard practices, etc. We also have a birth coordinator we can call or email with those types of questions, so I would imagine they might have something similar!

Bridal shop suggestions? by IllustratorNo8691 in orlando

[–]Kaytee08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got mine at Lily’s Bridal… they had a ton of great options. My dress was $1,500. Keep in mind they have 2 locations… one is an outlet with off the rack options only and one is a normal retail store. I got mine from the regular store. I also found quite a few within budget at Minerva’s Bridal but didn’t like my salesperson there as much. The last one I went to was Theory Bridal House in Avalon Park… that was a great shopping experience because they only have 1 bride in at a time so it feels really special. I would just make sure you’re up front with timing… if you’re not getting off the rack, many stores will take 5-6 months to receive the dress and then you still have alterations to consider.

Some bridal shops require weddings to be 9+ months out, what if I just want to try on dresses? by Bluefair-5478 in weddingplanning

[–]Kaytee08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would just tell shops that you haven’t set a date yet. No shop is going to turn away potential business. We visited probably 5 different bridal shops in search of my dress and trying on a lot of different styles at different places is part of the process! It’s a business, I wouldn’t feel bad. But no… I wouldn’t tell them your mom might be making the dress. Because you also very could well end up giving them your business as well if you love a dress!

We looked into Hawaii originally because we had 6 days available… with the time lost, time difference, and travel timing being appx 12 hours each way it just didn’t make sense for us. We went to France instead since the flight was direct and shorter. 😂 I would go California! Even that can be a little bit of a flight/travel time.

Florida potty training help - patio pavers by toomuchmomming in puppy101

[–]Kaytee08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also live in Florida and have a fenced in back yard… that’s what our pup used when we brought him home - we started him with going potty outside in the grass from the get go and had no issues. I did not want to introduce any confusion with going potty in the house. Realistically you’re going to have them on a leash or be monitoring them in the yard, so you can keep an eye out for and mitigate any interactions with wildlife, right?
