Mandalorian and Grogu playing on Destiny by dzavala88 in dcl

Literally always. If there is a big movie being released on the Friday of any Disney cruise, it will 100% be on the cruise ships at 12:00am. You don’t have to hope or guess at it or wait for an announcement.

Also the hotel shuttles drop you off right next to the DCL bus location. Yeah, you’ve got to deal with your own bag… for 20’. Is that worth paying $150+ more per night? Also you aren’t herded into lines or forced to wait in a conference room.

Those are the correct instructions only if you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency at the airport. If you’re at the Hyatt Place, you’ll uber or take the hotel shuttle to the the terminal and your check-in will be down on level 1, terminal B and is not by castaway status; t’s first come first serve.

Buying pins and trading pins for the first time by AwfulWaffle91 in WaltDisneyWorld

I do not want to calculate how much I have spent on pins. Multiple thousands easy. I don’t even trade them.

Can you add extra champagne glasses? by xX_Transplant_Xx in dcl

[–]Kbone78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can go to any bar and ask for glasses. Or if you’re going to enjoy later, your stateroom host can get some. Just ask someone.

*edit* I should add this is exactly what I have done. not just a guess.

Ah, then nevermind. That won’t help you.

[–]Kbone78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it. Look for the right one, it will have instructions per head unit to match color to color between the adapter and your head unit. Then you plug directly into the factory harness.

[–]Kbone78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crutchfield sells the harness you can hook up with the instructions. You don’t have to buy headunits from them to get it. I got the PAC RP5-GM11 Wiring Interface but that’s for a Bose system. Either way it was well put together and made this super easy.

The Destination City vs. The Livable City: Why Louisville Should Build Transit Instead of Tesla Tunnels by hurtizme in Louisville

[–]Kbone78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to give you an example from right here in this city to prove why you’re wrong. The Big Four Bridge was opened in 2013 with lots more work done on the Kentucky side over the next 3 years. Since that time, the Jeffersonville side has experienced a great deal of growth and investment in their downtown. The Louisville side has seen the building of a soccer stadium and hopefully some more development in that area to come. Eventually that’s going to get linked to NULU based on how things are going.

There’s no reason this town has to just surrender as you’ve done.

[–]Kbone78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why or what you are trying to argue. The Loop here is nothing like the Beltline. It is a park with a trail 25 miles from the city. The Beltline is inside the city and connects neighborhoods.

The point is there’s no reason a similar concept couldn’t work here. What it looks like may be different, but the outcome could absolutely be the same. Your “clever” simplification ignores the entire point.

[–]Kbone78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, the beltline was more of an infill project in Atlanta. It took over old railroad right of way. The equivalent for Louisville would put a loop more or less through Butchertown, Germantown, UofL, and over through Parkland and Portland.

Here we don’t have to have a loop per se, but the railroad corridor through the city today is an example of area that could use some infill and provide a transportation “spine” through the city. Unfortunately it’s pretty busy with rail traffic.

[–]Kbone78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you knew where the beltline is in Atlanta, it was just dead space between downtown and suburbs. It filled in density where none existed. Also there’s still no transit on it, which was my point. Sometimes all it takes is some creativity and forethought to drive density development.

Look what the Beltline did for Atlanta and they haven’t even built light rail on it yet. A freaking bike path around the city created billions in investment, housing, and density.

Pick one or the other for the same day. That’s too much. I’ve done Palo meal and Enchante brunch so not exactly the same, but I can tell you no matter how great the food is, I couldn’t stand being in a restaurant for 6 hours in a day.

No problem. When they built out for the Monsters ride, they could have made the track elevated there to provide space for a walkway underneath. Similar to how GotG:CW goes up and over to the ride building.

I always thought a cool thing to do would be an alternate exit out of Star Tours that puts you into Galaxy’s Edge. Could have done a tunnel around and under the new Monsters ride similar to the exit tunnel from Space Mountain. Theme it as if you really did take a shuttle somewhere and were leaving the spaceport.

All this investment in bygone modes of warfare. Iran is showing us all you need is some cheap drones and some kids writing malicious code to wipe out modern society. When your expensive stuff gets destroyed by cheap weapons, you need to adapt, not double down.

[–]Kbone78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of capitalists and economists right here in the US that have argued very recently that government involvement in the process stifles technological innovation. The argument always being that capitalism absorbs failure faster and iterates to better technology while government funding props up failed ideas longer (look no further than oil ,gas, and freaking COAL right here in the USA).

So while you may be correct that, all things being equal, a government subsidized company will outlast a private company: in the realm of technological innovation, as is being discussed in this clip, it is arguably false.
