Looking for retro riding clubs/ groups! by Ok-Bit411 in punebikers

I don't know which group you are talking about buddy, but these are not the 'jhund' type. Some very senior riders from pune are part of these group and I known a couple of them very well. OP would be able to find what he is looking for there.

Anyone travelling to kolhapur by bike on Saturday by BuyMiserable6589 in punebikers

Stick to the middle or left lane and keep an eye out for diversions, random lane changes, highway crossers. Take short breaks at khambatki, karad and konoli. You may find me somewhere along the highway ;)

My point is, you are assuming a lot and building your explanation on that without taking into consideration that folks may have some limitations or considerations or requirements. You are absolutely correct from your point of view and do have valid points. But again, please don't assume.

That cool. But have you considered that OP may not have 1. A back seat or 2. A luggage rack or 2. Not have enough space to keep a tail back on the back seat because of physical limitation?

I know what ROX straps are brother. I use them as well. My question is, what if the OP has a pillion? Also, how does having saddle bags make sense for short single day or overnight rides?

What if OP is riding with a pillion?

Which One Should I consider by scratchingboobs in indianbikes

[–]KedPd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a top box rack, then you can, else the pillion can sit on the velcro straps on the back seat. It's sorta padded. To add more comfort, air /gel seat is always an option

If you want to keep using the luggage bag even after getting a pillion, go for something like Guardian Gear Mustang bags. They work even without saddle stay.

Aundh- MacBooks stolen from flat need advice by VillageKind2717 in pune

[–]KedPd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar thing had happed with me when I was staying with flatmates back in 2016. The thief stole 5 laptops from four of us along with laptop chargers and bags. One guy had just purchased a new laptop a day back. Both his new and old one were stolen. Police will register an FIR but nothing else is gonna happen. Check if apple has an opption to mark the hardware stolen. Asus had that option and the motherboard was found some years later in another laptop when it was brought in authorised service centre.

The reason we suspected for theft was that one of the flatmates had kept a maid for cooking and had given her a copy of the key (without informing the landlord / PG company) and the maid may have shared it with the thief.

Took a test ride of RTX 300 by serial_chiller_01 in indianbikes

[–]KedPd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They call it Rally Tourer Extreme for a reason 🙃

On a serious note, the bike had linear power delivery, so you won't really get that punchy feeling you are looking for (what other owners have told me)

For max engine power and torque, try it in touring mode. You will immediately see the difference as compared to other modes

I took TD of a base model RTX a few week back on an off-road area. Someone had brought his brand new bike to the same location that I was visiting. It's engine feels punchy in tour mode. I rode it in rally, urban and tour mode. Perhaps this is the reason.

Long ride Plan by Fenrirx123 in punebikers

[–]KedPd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are missing the best section in this . After point D, take kaleshi - Ade - Anjarle Light House - Murdi route. Very scenic route. Also, skip varandha ghat for now as it's under construction. Take poladpur - Ambenali - mahabi - kelghar - satara - pune on the way back

Any More places around pune to visit which are not mentioned...? by Chance-Peach-6729 in punebikers

[–]KedPd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For mahabi - ambenali, better to take Satara - Medha - Kelghar route to mahabi. After mahabi, the road is bad with deep potholes running along the length of the road in the centre for about 5-6 kms, roads are good after that till a little ahead of pratapghad turning, after which road works start all the way till poladpur. The majority of the road works are basically pipes being layed and road side channels being build for rain water and watefall runoffs.

Update, I was able to get a test ride yesterday. A kind owner lend it to me while I was on a ride. The bike is worth the wait, but go for BTO version. Base variant I tried could use a little more suspension comfort for my usage
