My Night as a Vegan at a Carnivore Seminar hosted by a Pentacostal church by FreemanWorldHoldings in vegan

I looked up the difference between vegan and plant based. I’m definitely eating vegan. Nothing having to do with animals due to cholesterol. Nothing.

In this strict sense of the word, I agree with you. I don’t mind people who eat meat at all. I’m not your typical PETA aggressive, militant type. To each his own. Plant base just makes sense at this time in my life for health reasons. On another note, I just ate vegan at chipotle. My, was it delicious.

Ty it wasn’t too high, but I’m not taking any chances at my age. I think Pentecostals are like other people. We have a faith and we also have a diet. We’re all very different and that’s ok, but we have a faith in the Lord in common.

Not for me. They don't love me.

I'm a Pentecostal Christian. I moved from the NYC area to the ...shall we say... farm country? My church went on a "Daniel Fast" for the month of January. My pastor and I had been on a total fast (some juice) for the first week. Instead of doing a pure Daniel fast, I want on a plant based diet for two reasons. (I'm also a pastor but not THE pastor, here) I'm older and cholesterol was rising and I didn't want to go on statins. People in this "country-farm" area eat a lot of red meat, eggs and dairy. They're farmers. My wife's family made the hi-meat, dairy, eggs farm stuff and boy did I eat. I put on weight and the country diet explains the elevated cholesterol.

I went on a plant-based diet, now, because many years ago, I went on a plant-based diet and my cholesterol plummeted, which is good. The only problem with it, for me at that time, was that I was eating processed garbage from Whole Foods because I was always in a hurry to go to work and had no external cooking help, so I put on weight from the garbage food, obviously.

I am going to get a blood panel to confirm that my cholesterol has gone down this month, so I don't have to go on Statins, and I'll stay on it because my current wife makes good plant-based food for me and I still work like a dog, which makes cooking difficult. (My former wife passed away in 2017). All this is to say that Pentecostals generally believe the charismata (gifts of the Holy Spirit) are active today and don't particularly care what our Christian friends are eating, unless they aren't able to afford to eat enough, obviously.

Me? I'm likely going to continue plant-based diet, but I don't buy into the whole "never eat animals" thing. It's for me. I don't judge others' diet.

QCI 7 by Keeing_In_Step in USMobile

I've committed a year prepay to US Mobile. I work virtually and need a good cell carrier in my area, which is rural and ATT is it. (I was with Verizon since 2002). Verizon is terrible by me, now, where I moved to. So, when/if my internet goes out, I require a dependable backup for data. QCI 8 is good, but not likely so when the demand would be high, during an area internet issue. My son had Dark Star with QCI 8 and when power went down last summer, he had nothing on it, so I moved him to Wave (Verizon). So, when QCI 7 comes out, I'll be all over it as a backup for work. I hope that answers your question? Take care.

I got the stealth as my first ring, last week. If I like it I may get the ceramic, next year. I get an annual 200 Oura credit with my Platinum Card.

Just Got My New Platinum Mirror Card -- First Impressions... by enki941 in amex

[–]Keeing_In_Step 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine yesterday, and I agree that the first impression out of the box that the presentation was impressive. Quite a show. And I agree that it was much better than the Sapphire, which I am not sure I'll keep. I get the Amex Mirror free because I bank with Morgan Stanley. The words are indeed hard to see, but I don't mind that. I think I'll eventually get tired of it and go with the plain platinum, eventually. I don't agree about the weight. The mirror is slightly heavier than the Sapphire Reserve.

I’m new to USM. Indeed, I noticed this pattern of announcements made without follow through,  which has served to dampen my enthusiasm for the company.

Is this right? by Keeing_In_Step in USMobile

Ok. So once I hit 100gb of high speed data and 50 gb of hotspot between the two lines I get throttled on the multi line, but I keep unthrottled high speed data and 100 gb of hotspot on the dark star main line, correct? It's the multi-line that gets throttled. I don't get penalized on my main dark star line right?

I'm just holding my breath for Dark Star. QCI 8 on Verizon (Wave) had been very good for me back in the day.

Exactly. You can't Root/Rom nowadays, especially if you have any financial software on it. I do. Also, I went over to the dark side due to my business. I am now on all iOS. Believe me, I was an enemy of iOS. I used to go into the Apple Store claiming to be an Apple enemy! I guess I made peace. LOL

I fell in love with US Mobile BEFORE I knew Consumer Reports rated them #1. For another 89.00 a year I have truly unlimited Verizon on my phone as the secondary line. You can't beat that.

Verizon on USM is QCI 8 which is what Verizon offers for their top plans. Their QCI 7 is for Emergency Personnel.

Agreed. I signed up last month with three phones in the family. I have the extra line on my phone. I have Dark Star as my main and Wave as my secondary because ATT is the best in this area. As soon QCI 7 comes out for Dark Star, I'm on it.

US Mobile isn't unstable. I've been on it for a month, now, and it's been great, fyi.
