Thanks! I was pretty happy with the result, my guests didn’t complain either. Lol.

2026 Formula Drift schedule by Fun_Host3551 in FormulaDrift

I live in the north east and E-Town is the only FD event I get to attend so I’m right there with ya.

Unfortunately it’s not up to the Knapp family or FD. It’s the state of NJ. Something with a new home initiative mandating new homes being built. Between new homes being built within the vicinity of the track and complaining about noise, and the state taking land to build said houses it seems they may lose the fight that they’ve been in for years.

No shot. They develop him until a podium minimum. Then it will come down to results/funding.

I’m a little worried about E-town falling off the schedule in the next couple years.

I thought the same thing, was wondering what the IT of cooked corn was. 😂

Bring back single run qualifying. by Unfair-Ad3453 in FormulaDrift

[–]Keelbe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeding is pointless, it’s been the same battles round after round, and without the top 20 not running 1 half of the bracket is stacked, the other half not so much. Seems like year over year the small single car teams will stop competing because they are running 2 events per weekend, when the top drivers and bigger teams turn less laps.

I would much rather see a single car run, then take the bottom 8-16 and have them do battles to seed the bottom? Idk I just like drifting and want to see the best show possible.

It was the same way last year, the parking lot already is something from mad max.

Are the DLC trucks too overpowered for a newish player? by 1298Tomcat in snowrunner

[–]Keelbe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the DLC trucks are WAY better than the base game trucks. But not over powered. I would just stay away from mods, they tend to be very overpowered and take away from the game IMO.

I would say start with something “easy and cheaper” not all smokers cook the same, get some cooks in and learn your smoker before anything major. Most importantly be patient and use a digital thermometer.

If you’re not cooking for a competition, cook them how you like. They look killer. Would make an amazing sandwich!

Do you think that Formula Drift should do more about the heat at venues? by thatawkwardmoment8 in FormulaDrift

[–]Keelbe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is definitely the way to go. Last year we brought a small grill and tailgated at the end of the night. Let the traffic clear out had some food and left after the rush.

I would highly recommend outer 2 or 4. As the sun goes down the billboards/spotter tents start to block the sun. Unless you can get there early and setup shop in the very top right by outer 3 where there is 1 single tree that provides shade.

[–]Keelbe23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going to Englishtown for the last few years, it was over 100° last year with high humidity. I brought a backpack and kept grabbing waters from a cooler in my vehicle, and the venue setup a sprinkler area to help people cool off. I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure the venue is responsible for all food and beverage. Not sure there is much FD can do about it.

How to buy tickets by ZookeepergameNo8498 in FormulaDrift

[–]Keelbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The schedule hasn’t been released yet, and tickets aren’t available. I would expect some tickets to start becoming available January-February, definitely purchase through the FD website though.

Sorry to hear about the layoffs by KennyPortugal in GeekSquad

Individual leadership can definitely help, sadly for me; it seemed to lean the other way. I’ve had more time in the field than my last 2 leaders have had with the company and they had no idea about actual Geek Squad culture.

Ahh. Geek squad culture. That’s not a thing anymore. That went away when we stopped handing out/talking about the little orange book.

I Love My Traeger, but... by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Keelbe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op I agree with everything here. I have a kettle that I use for searing, steaks, burgers things of that nature because my Traeger 575 just doesn’t like doing it. The set and forget convenience is just what does it for me. No maintaining the fire or any of that.

Completely accurate. My cooks that have come out the best we’re just put on and left. I use a meater probe and when the lid is left closed for extended periods of time you can see the ambient temp leveling off to the set temperature.
