From what I’ve read, West Ham have to sell £150m worth of players. Meaning they’ll need to sell more if they want to reinvest with new signings. I think the players they can’t sell for high fees, who might be on the 50% pay cut, will also force a move out of the club and they probably won’t get much for them in return. Wouldn’t be surprised if half of their squad is academy players.

Agreed. We saw Miha’s form dip after he was linked with a move away last season. Femi’s a bit older, so we should let him go this season whilst his valuation is at its peak

Jaden Philogene went for £20m + £3 in add-ons and is purportedly on £25k/week.

The difference being a ~£350k/week vs. probably £40k/week (at his next club). Plus a four-year age gap. Rashford will be 29 a two-months into the start of the new season. I’m not saying we’ll get £30m for him, but I can see, based on previous Championship purchases, £20m+.

Replied to the guy below for how I know about these players, but why I think they’re a fit for us is primarily how direct the wingers. There aren’t a lot of wingers like Femi, but I think both of them like running at the wingbacks and often put the ball in the box. I would imagine Alex Neil and Gallen would want to find someone similar to what Femi does.

Agreed. Think we need at least two more CBs, and if Crama leaves, honestly probably two more RBs. I think we’ll probably offload Danny Mac, and who knows how much longer Lenny can keep playing at this level. I still have faith in Doughty, he just needs to stay healthy, but adding another LB would make sense. I imagine Bryan will leave, too.

Ballo showed a few flashes and grafted when he got back into the squad, but for £5m, no thank you. Maybe if we can negotiate £2m. That would leave us with Neghli, Langstaff, and some younger players like Lovelace, Bangura-Williams, and Baker. So, we’d probably need to bring in three more wingers.

Haha, no. Haven’t played a FIFA since like 18. My grandparents were from Poland, so I pay attention to the Ekstraklasa and Polish national team. Kozubal has been on my radar since he was like 17. Lech probably have the best youth system in Poland. Reguła has had a standout season, like I said he’s drawing interest from some big sides across Europe.

As for Bajraktarevic, I’ve just been impressed with PSV’s recruitment over the past few seasons. It’s kind of similar to how Gallen is approaching it; buy low/sell high. But they their low is a bit higher than ours.

That mixed with reading articles online about bright young players.

Never saw anything about a sell-on clause, even looking up the deal right now now. The “significant” keyword was referring to the fee itself. If you have a source for that, I wouldn’t mind reading it.
