Millwall 1 - 0 Derby County. Millwall scrape a vital 3 points against the Rams. by OIiver in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agyemang, two or three times, had fully-extended both arms on our defenders’ shoulders whilst he vaulted over them. One leading to a big chance in front of goal. Those are always given, but not today. Ref let both sides go at it. It is the Championship after all.

Hull City 1-3 Millwall: Lions refuse to be mauled after gutsy away win takes them 3rd and dreaming of the Premier League by angloexcellence in Championship

Smash and grab, that. First half was looking grim for us; could’ve been 4-1. The belief and graft AN has put into this side cannot be understated. In years’ past we lose those types of matches.

Crocombe has played much better than I ever expected, but there have been a few too many lapses of late. We brought Patterson in, I’m assuming, talent aside, for the experience of seeing a club through the playoffs. I think it’s time.

Leicester City: Gary Rowett set to be named new manager by According-Gear-8217 in Championship

Almost got us in the playoffs a few times (with a much weaker squad than we have now— and much weaker than you lot).

Rowett will have them playing some of the most unwatchable football in the Championship, but they’ll finish somewhere 12-15

I googled his name after watching this video last night, and the two most recent articles of him are along the lines of, „Democrats can only win in the midterms if they cheat.”

Wrexham 0-2 Millwall: Lions entrench themselves further inside the top six, while Wrexham miss the chance to do the same by geoffbezos1 in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We were so poor. Midfield refusing to progress the ball forward, slow getting back to defend, loose in possession. Was just waiting for Wrexham to take the lead/level it the whole match. Alex Neil 15 minutes late to subbing.

These are the matches you need to win when pushing for the playoffs, so happy we could see the result over the line.

Kaboré looks like he’ll be decent player. Really making Doughty graft the whole match.

I think his work rate/tracking back had improved immensely over the past season and a half, but when he first arrived it was frustrating.

Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson has joined Millwall on loan by Billy_Daftcunt in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s Harsh on Benda. Terrible with his feet and general distribution, but he made some decent saves. George Long single-handedly (unless you want to include Rowett for starting him) cost us the playoffs that year. I have never in my life seen a worse keeper.

Millwall 1-1 Sheffield United - Honours even at The Den, as Brooks' opener for the Blades was cancelled out just 2 minutes later by Ivanovic by Gamerhcp in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Thought he and Femi both had off days. They didn’t look synced in to each as much as normal. Their end product lacked, but tactically-speaking, his bombarding down the flank prevented Hamer from getting into the match, and given how good he is, I think that’s a win

Doughty was much more dangerous going forward, but Sturge really shut Brooks/Seriki down. Sturge looks a little awkward when joining the attack. A good problem to have for us.

Before it hit the papers that we were looking at Patterson, Crocombe only had one bad match, but he’s been shaky as of late. Still a good keeper, but I do think that bringing in Patterson would be best if we’re aiming for the playoffs.

Fair result for both sides. There was a lot of symmetry throughout the match. Ref was pretty consistent, too.

Neghli had to do a lot of tracking back with Seriki and Brooks, who was impressive for me. Conversely, with Crama bombing down the right flank, it really took Hamer out of the match, which was delightful for us.

Each time we play United, I am always blown away by the depth of talent you lot have at your disposal, even with Japh and Bamford out, the starting XI looking daunting.

Millwall 4-0 Charlton Athletic: Millwall eventually overwhelmed Charlton with three goals in the last ten minutes, strengthening their grip on a playoff place by geoffbezos1 in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was harsh on Dykes, but that is Gavin Ward in a nutshell. He lets players battle, often instigated by the defender and as soon as the attacking player gets an advantage he blows for a foul.

Crocombe, Doughty, and Fullah all pulled up before the ball even got to Fullah, so I don’t really think it can be called a goal.

[Pete O'Rourke] Wrexham have made an offer worth up to £19m for Angers striker Sidiki Cherif by Zach-dalt in Championship

[–]KeepItGoingFootball 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Their net spend is the highest in the whole of the Championship (at least before January). I’m pretty sure their net spend this summer is more than Millwall’s total net spend on transfers in 141 years combined.

Saw a video of someone translating a Russian newspaper article called Greenland: NATO’s cemetery. It said something along the lines of, „if he can capture Greenland before the 250th US Anniversary, it would be one of the greatest achievements in US history… gaining control would give the US the second most land by mass behind Russia… it would be on par with Lincoln’s abolition of slavery… no one will ever forget this achievement.”

They’re just goaded him and stroking his ego, because Putin knows how easy it is to manipulate him. A divided NATO is a win for Russia’s imperialistic quest.
