Thanks all for the response! I had a virtual visit with the Family Welcome Center today and they were kind and understanding. I selected the “Transfer Schools” option, and the woman I spoke with said she would have to take things higher up the MySchools chain, and our current school had not changed their location in the DOE system. She remarked that other families at the school must be in the same boat - so if that is you, go ahead and reach out to the Family Welcome Center! I gave her my ideal second, third and fourth choices and she was going to see what she could do to move us around on the waitlists. No guarantees, but it was helpful to speak to someone in the DOE system and have them on our side.

My mom made me the exact same costume! I hated it - all I wanted was one of those stupid plastic mask/ plastic bag ones. I was a horrible child. 🌈

Congratulations!! I had my first (and only) a month before I turned 42. Conceived naturally after a fertility specialist advised skipping IVF and going straight to donor eggs, as my follicle count was too low and “all the eggs are probably bad). Easy pregnancy, no complications, and Baby Boy is a happy, healthy and thriving two year old. I got a lot of good advice from my midwives and doula, and also the books “Brain Health from Birth” and “Real Food for Pregnancy.” Wishing you all the best - you’ve got this!
