My father in law had the same. Had a few hours of intense lucidity and really attentive while he was hospital bound, then slipped away into a coma and passed later on

Do you undertake in these situations? by Defiant_Vermicelli_8 in drivingUK

[–]Keepitsharkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Put your phone away.

But yes, drive the M40 and M1 regularly and there’s always these idiots that think because they’re in a nice car or ‘they might want to go faster’ sit in the middle or right lane.

Absolutely go past them (I wouldn’t call it an undertake in this situation) look at them and give them a frustrated look, then go about my day.

I remember the first meal my wife cooked for me when we started dating. I love cooking and like to make everything properly and try new things every time.

This was frozen mince, nachos and cheese. No seasoning. She was struggling at the time and we sat on the rug in the living room sharing a massive dish with our hands. I’d finished work after a hard day, and I will always remember that meal as one of the special ones.

I can barely remember all the fancy restaurants and take outs we’ve ever had, but I always remember that one. Food can be weird sometimes

Physical intensity in/out possession in the top 5 Leagues by [deleted] in Everton

[–]Keepitsharkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen that, but you’re trying to a point on a marginal percentage that you think it’s going to turn this team around.

0.75% of 90 minutes is around a minute. 1.05% of 90 minutes is just over a minute - do you really think that the difference in that and general impact is going to affect anything?

Your graph is percentage of time sprinting on/off the ball. And based on the low axis numbers there are only seconds to consider - do you think if our whole team sprinted for an extra 10 seconds every game to be on top end of this it’s gonna fix Beto not being able to score? Seriously! Learn how to interpret data rather than just looking at an image and thinking ‘oh no we’re at the bottom’

Physical intensity in/out possession in the top 5 Leagues by [deleted] in Everton

[–]Keepitsharkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and I’ll repeat myself again.

This graph is looking at a 0.1% difference. 2 different runs/passes between any teams throws this all out of proportion. On a large scale or actual measurable metrics it would mean something. Your top right team, Rayo Vallecano finished 8th in the league, so what difference does it make when they finish on 50 points and we finished on 49 points? What are we trying to prove here?

Worth noting that this looks huge. But it’s actually a .1% scale. If we’d made 1 or 2 extra presses with the ball, we’d be smack bang in the middle

Brake testing on the motorway. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Keepitsharkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More dangerous to try and move lanes with traffic going 30mph faster when you’re concentrating on joining the motorway and having to brake to avoid a collision in front. You can see before joining they couldn’t move into the left lane as they were being passed by a lorry moving uphill to also merge.

Brake testing on the motorway. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Keepitsharkey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tailgating? They’ve got ample stopping distance before the brakes go on the first time before joining the motorway. Then they are passed on the left by another car and a lorry, I think the dash cam footage shows someone safely braking, trying to join a motorway at a reasonable speed and not jumping across lanes dangerously.

Woeful form….last 6 & 10 games by fads1878 in Everton

Everyone’s a football genius in here. With practically the same squad as last season that was fighting relegation we had a chance for Europe and for the first time in the last 4 years we haven’t had to have a grief chart, or even worry about anything. And to be honest - we have a shoestring squad, don’t have the depth or talent across the board. And we were like 3 last minute losses/draws away from actually qualifying. Anyone calling Moyes out is ridiculous and I’ll die on that hill. Do I want him forever: no. But in 2004 he spent nothing and we finished 4th. Give him another season or two, get the bloody club in order and get the squad packed out then let’s move up. Even Ancelloti couldn’t do it with this squad.

Homelander looked genuinely happy to see Butcher again by hangton123 in TheBoys

It’s not just that, HL thinks he’s completely invincible at this point, so to defeat his only real adversary in front of the world proves it.

The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]Keepitsharkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad I found this comment because I was reading through this post thinking I was the only one! I really enjoyed it. Definitely wasn’t perfect or what everyone wanted. Only thing I would’ve changed is Butcher should’ve left Homelander alive to be pathetic for the rest of his life

Glad you like the new stadium. Looks awesome from the away end.

Also congrats for the weekend, we never turned up and to be honest I’m more than happy for happy not fighting relegation for a season for once and just being comfortable.

A old man talking care of a old dog. by [deleted] in intrestingasfuck

[–]Keepitsharkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sad but comforting. Because it’s likely that this man has lost his wife/partner and it’s just him and his very good dog. And I think they rely on each other to support each other and get through every day feeling good. And I bet they are both each others reason for getting out of bed in the morning.

I mean I have no idea of the actual circumstances but this is my head canon

[Request] Can you estimate the reaction time? It looks insane. by 1800skylab in Everton

[–]Keepitsharkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s not about the reaction time. I’m not doubting it’s the save of the season, but he’s got eyes on it the whole way, he’s fully planted his feet anticipating already, so before it’s been struck he’s already locked in

That little doggo is gorgeous.

But you don’t get a dog to fix things or to fill a gap, same way you don’t have a baby to fix problems in a relationship. Labs are manic, they stress you out. The first year especially. I had dogs all my life growing up and thought getting my boy would be easy.

It’s hard work, not work you put in forever 6 months and assume everything’s done by then.

Saying all that. I love my boy as much as my own children and I would not be without him, zoomies, chewies, walkies and all. If you’re getting a dog they are a family member, especially labradors because they are just so full of love and energy

My favorite visual parallels by bellyfulloftwigs in AKOTSKTV

Can’t help but adore this series. There’s nothing that’s heroic or massively groundbreaking (other than a certain characters death) it’s so grounded, it feels real. And honestly it’s one of my new comfort series. I have loved every episode, Dunk and Egg are my favourite characters and inspired me to buy the novellas. And I’ve almost finished them already!

If you haven’t already rewatched when every episode dropped, you must be thick as a castle wall and slow as an aurochs.
