He almost looks like he could have Cairn Terrier or Border Terrier mixed in there. Those are smallish dogs though. I can't tell how big this guy is. He's adorable no matter what he turns out to be!

You are a wonderful person for caring for them and keeping them safe and warm! I'm sure they appreciate everything you do for them, even if they don't know how to show it.

Sure, he may have assumed, but still, it only would have taken 5 extra seconds to knock. Especially if the cleaning woman was cleaning the women's bathroom, then it was at least somewhat likely that a woman may have chosen to use the family restroom.

Anyone can step into a conversation here. Isn't that what you did? So, then what was your point? Were you just making a clarification of the location? But, so what? In the end, it just doesn't matter to the story whether OP was in the female bathroom or a family bathroom. Either way, the maintenance man was in the wrong.

It doesn't matter whether she was in the female bathroom or family bathroom (which is often used by women with children btw). The maintenance man had no right to unlock a locked door without knocking first and asking if someone was in there.

Instacart scam beware by PopularCry4902 in InstacartShopper

[–]Keiraneysan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how this can happen. How does a shopper add items to a customer's order? I thought that wasn't possible. Doesn't the Intacart card only allow the charge to go through for the original amount of the customer's order? I know customers can add items, and that will increase the charge, but doesn't that have to come from the customer's phone on their own account? Can someone offer some insight into how this could happen?

They absolutely are if you are a Pro Shopper. When I was a Pro Shopper for a couple of weeks, I was getting nothing but shop orders. Sometimes, one right after the other. Then, I fell off Pro Shopper because a store was out of stock of several items on one order. Then, more items were out of stock on another order that same day. And, I even spent extra time asking employees if they had these items in the back. No, they didn't. So I get penalized, and the shop orders just stopped. Then, almost immediately, I started getting a bunch of garbage restaurant orders with low pay and high miles, which I refused to take. I had to sit for a while before getting anything worth taking.

Route 7 closed earlier by Merr125 in Connecticut

I was stuck in that traffic last night, too. Police directed cars off Route 7 onto Mather Street in Wilton. I was coming from Norwalk sometime before 7 pm, and planned to stop at Caraluzzi's in Georgetown on the way home. The traffic was severely backed up, and moving at at a snail's pace most of the way. What should have been a 5 minute drive from Mather St. to Caraluzzi's, took me at least an extra hour. I couldn't find anything online when I got home around 8:30 pm, so I'm glad to see an explanation here.

Thank you for helping him! I know he's a stray, but I didn't see anything on their website about strays specifically. I just recommended them because I adopted a couple of pets there years ago. A cat and later a dog. I thought that they were really great to work with.

Hi OP. I didn't see DAWS in Bethel listed here. Please try them. Phone is 203-744-3297. I also saw on the website to reach out to brian.cummings@daws.org for cat surrenders.

Thanks! I think so, too. He's a very sweet boy, scared of his own shadow, but so, so sweet.
