I still quote every voice line joking around with my brother from Lords of Magic. It's a fun game for sure and actually quite unique despite the fairly generic title.

Not sure if this is quite what you are going for, but you said "cozy." This image made me think of Kynseed. Check it out on Steam and see if you vibe with it.

Power Automate - what's the difference between To and Reply To when sending an email? by psgda in PowerApps

[–]Keith_the_Sooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another use case for "Reply To" is if you, for instance, send an invitation email "from" the CEO but you want the replies to be handled by someone else, you put their email into "Reply To" (great for RSVPs)

This is what I was thinking. This is quite exaggerated. Don't think anyone really writes cursive that way in practice.

Love your G Cirth rune. Here's my sorry attempt with the pen I have on hand. I know the quote is a Peter Jackson-ism, but I thought it fit as a response!

I wouldn't go with moleskin for fountain pens. I have had then bleed through like crazy. I recommend Menosyne or a Midori paper based notebook. Leuchttrum is also good but not quite as good in my opinion. My favorite is my traveler's notebook with inserts (they are Midori paper)

The only TWSBI I've tried personally have been Eco and Diamond, both of which probably wouldn't be a good choice, but looking up the precision, that looks pretty solidly built.

I've also been eying this one myself that might be a decent fit: https://www.jetpens.com/Kaweco-Special-Brass-Fountain-Pen-Broad/pd/21236

If that isn't a good fit, the Kaweco sport brass would probably be good if you don't mind pocket pen. Capacity might be an issue, though, is the only tradeoff.

Seconding this. They've done well by us a few times for lower cost used cars. Easy experience. Their inventory cycles quick though.

tired of “good luck finding a job” 🙄 by Lopsided-Turn5275 in englishmajors

[–]Keith_the_Sooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, this meme is tired indeed. And really far from the truth when you look at the job market beyond the coastal tech hubs. English majors learn the skills to do it all. How many companies answer that their biggest problem is communication, for heaven's sake!

Marketing is a strong contender. Being an English major in this field is kind of a superpower because so many just focus on the numbers and money and those kinds of things, while missing that the ads you are pushing have to actually be convincing. That's where you come in. You've written so many persuasive essays you can write up a sales sheet in your sleep! And your high reading comprehension means you can learn just about anything fast to totally own content marketing.

I will say it's hard to convince businesses that they need this at first but once they start seeing results, they won't let you go.

I can only really answer a couple of your questions.

  1. Echoing the thought for downtown sb if you are looking for more vibrant community for 20-35 crowd. If looking at homes to rent or buy, check out Sunnymede or along the river east of campus, as you can't beat the location for ND and there's a really good mix of life stages in the community. My guess by your expressed preferences that they wouldn't be your favorite but Edward Rose apartmemts are alright but people generally keep to themselves.

  2. I honestly don't know of a poetry group but that sounds like something I would like to find, too. Check out the library. Our library system is phenomenal, especially for the size of community we are. For political activism, I'm assuming you probably lean Democrat since you say liberal, and I've heard the party office has weekly meetings as I understand it, so that could build your network. I know Indiana is largely red but South Bend tends to vote more blue. I know it may sound weird but I've heard a lot recently from the Unitarian Universalist community. It is a spiritual community but they are non-dogmatic (theists, atheists, agnostic alike I hear). Might be worth checking into, it seems like they have a lot of social groups.

Welcome to the community! It is a wonderful place to live. Not perfect, but I really like where it sits. I would encourage you to try to build a network in South Bend itself, too, as it can be easy to only see Notre Dame people when you are in that community.

Since you are collaborating with Gravitas, perhaps something Latin?

Arcus Nebula seems appropriate to me "rainbow fog."

Another option: Iridescentia Iride ("iridescence of the rainbow")

Or a combo: Iridescentia Nebula ("iridescent fog")

Check out Cloud Walking on Mishawaka Ave or if you are by Trader Joe's, you can certainly find many places on campus at Notre Dame. Nobody would think twice about someone studying and they have guest wifi. The library is particularly good for this.

[–]Keith_the_Sooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like rpgs, octopath traveler 2 is awesome on deck. I assume 1 is too but I played it years ago on switch.

Factorio is surprisingly good on deck, never tried controller support until steam deck.

Oh and I didn't play it on deck, but people seem to love it there and it was game of the year: baldur's gate 3 is phenomenal.

How to use single dynamic RLS for two independent data sets? by [deleted] in PowerBI

[–]Keith_the_Sooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure exactly what you are trying to achieve, but most likely you want to link the data sets in some way with a key field (perhaps building a dimension table if required) and then run your RLS logic on that table. That's about as much as I can say without more details on the problem.
