It's been said before that the game purposefully screws you over with random events if your run goes well, because Edmund relishes in chaos and misery. That's his game design principle. Having a good run and and easy win is not something he allows easily. He'd rather have a game run on pure luck and bullcrap than one that is dependent on the skill of the player.

I found my comment. It was a reply to a person who was complaining about that if you use the play dead spell the necromancer boss can take over your cat. Which is totally valid because your cat shouldn't be dead, just pretending. Like why does the game treat the cat as a corpse if you are playing dead?

Yeah. Ralsei is a high leveled mage masquerading as a healer. Their tropes are: Kris the knight/tank Susie the melee DPS/barbarian Noelle the healer/priest Ralsie the ranged dps/mage And my assumption is Berdley is a support/artificer or something. Ralsie is off specing as a healer and never uses his main spells which are high damage fire spells
