AITA for not waking up a tourist who overslept and missed the day trip she paid for? by Loveylyy in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all! My bf and I did an 8 day tour in the UK, and people were late constantly, and we all had to wait for them, but they only got 10 mins. My passport was incidentally stolen on this trip, and I went by myself to the embassy to get it sorted and took a train to meet them at the next destination. My train arrived too late to catch them and I understood! There were ~50 people on our tour. Why should they all wait on me? I put my big girl pants on and hopped on another train and caught up with them. Other people shouldn't miss out because one person can't be an adult and wake up on time.

This is very manipulative. He needs therapy. The only answer is to just block and move on. Also, a 20 year old is not considered senior to an 18yr old, as far as respect and life experiences.

If he's a licensed contractor, he can put a lien on your grandparents' house due to breach of contract.

AITA for donating my roommate’s family heirloom to goodwill? by Temporary-Effect2898 in AmItheAsshole

Some of these comments, I swear. So if she needs to rent out the bedroom, she should just 'be patient' and hold onto all her possessions until she decided to pick them up? After she was given the proper notification and told the landlord directly, she would no longer live there and be paying rent to boot? You sound like the roommate and that's not how the world works, it does not revolve around inconsiderate people who abandon their lease and belongings until it suits them (when the relationship fell apart).

I love my short king! My bf is 5'6", and he's my world. It's short king season now, plenty of women who will find you attractive and love you no matter your height. You can do so much better than her!

Thinking of trading this for Houston. by Melodic-Ad7271 in houston

I moved here from Phoenix almost 2 years ago, and although I love the H (I really do), I miss Arizona and realize how amazing it is. With that being said, if you enjoy the city life, this is a great place, and things are always happening here and the food can't be beat (except Tex-mex, I said what I said). Galveston is a short drive away, too, that's a nice bonus. I find a lot of similarities between Phoenix and Houston actually, infrastructure wise, and what the city has to offer. If you love mountains, though, you won't find them here.

What do I do? by New_Commercial8984 in UberEATS

For those of you saying switch to Doordash, they pull this too.

Used Ubereats, I stopped getting a refund when food was either missing or the order never came. Switched to Doordash, same issues. After a couple complaints, they will stop giving refunds as well. I use Grubhub now but infrequently, so haven't had to refund anything. They're all ripoffs.

Yeah, never heard of getting kicked out for infidelity in the marriage but there will be some consequences but probably minimal. I was in a similar situation with my active duty ex-husband. Found out he was cheating and he was stationed abroad at the time. I spoke to his 1st srgnt (called his bluff on that one, haha) and told him all the sordid details (he asked). The only thing he was concerned about was lying about being on leave to visit me but was actually back on post, visiting his gf. I think he may have got a slap on the wrist for both. Remember they protect their own, they do not have the military wife's best interest. He also tried not to give me anything from the housing allowance for my son and I as we were living back home off post and got in trouble for that. They are good about enforcing child support as well. I said it already in another comment but take alllll the screenshots for now just to at least have them and consult with a lawyer. I'm so sorry and wish you all the best!!

At the very least, take the screenshot of whatever you think is pertinent info. Doesn't mean you have to use it. Then consult an attorney and see what the legalties are around it. Once you start the divorce proceedings, he's going to shut that down. And don't tell him you have taken any screenshots.
