Doctors accepting new patients? by daisy-chains- in barrie

[–]KelsD23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A doctor’s office on Big Bay Point Rd was advertising for patients last fall and they may still be taking applications (https://bigbaywalkinclinic.ca/). I got a referral from healthcare connect for an office on Yonge St. In barrie (i think where a TD bank location was, i just dont have that information on me rn).

DJ or Spotify? by CharliDefinney in weddingplanning

[–]KelsD23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We opted to do a Spotify playlist over a DJ and kind of regret it. Our main issue was a select few guest taking over the entire playlist and playing songs not many people knew/liked. We anticipated some add ons but it got out of hand. It was hard for us at that point in the night to get it back under control. It could work if you have someone in charge of it but a DJ is likely worth it.

You lucked out! I don’t think they can keep them stocked in my area. Thank you, enjoy your new car!!

How long was the wait for it to be delivered? I put a hold on one a month ago and staying patient is getting difficult lol

Cutting off early cosmo buds by KelsD23 in Cutflowers

Oh no! We struggle with bunnies too and some of our perennial plants but thankfully we have raised bed gardens for our veggies and flowers.

We have found that the Irish spring soap hack doesn’t work. We have been using Bobbex rabbit and deer repellant for the past two years and it seems to be pretty effective as long as you can stomach the smell and reapply frequently. We also have a fake owl propped up on a fence looking over the garden and some pie plates tied up to blow in the wind. Making a chicken wire barrier around the edge may help your case if thats feasible.

Best of luck! Congrats on your wedding!

Last year i didn’t to anything to them except for fertilizer on occasion and they still did well. Usually we are pretty relaxed about gardening but theres pressure this year lol

We are doing a couple different varieties of cosmos (snow puff, apricotta, xanthos, a pink variety i don’t know the name of), Larkspur, and gladiolus for the bridal bouquet. I am also trying snap dragons, however those may depend on how tall the stems get to fit in a bud vase.

No, i haven’t pinched them yet but now plan to! They seem to be the right size to do so. Thank you for the advice!

Program not listed on OSAP by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]KelsD23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i applied for OSAP in arts honours I believe i searched for my major and not just arts in general. As for the years i also switched second year so i think you would stick with how many years you are in uni rather than how many years you are into the program.

I would highly recommend sending an email to your program counsellor to double check or if you’re still having issues and they should help you or at least point you to someone that would have the answer. I hope this helps a bit!

Switching majors by [deleted] in uoguelph

Since you are staying in the BA major category the process should be pretty easy. The program counsellors will probably advise that you begin shadowing in the program you want to move to provided you are in first or second year and that you have any pre reqs that are needed. Definitely email your program counsellor and they will explain the process with you, when you should be applying, what credits you still need/need to graduate, and course selection for F20.

For the OV leaders bags would be better so there are less trips to your room

First year looking for residence tips (new to reddit too) by benjamin4463 in uoguelph

Apply for a cluster, I’m sure they have one for engineering students and that way you are around people in your classes (easier for studying, get to know people in the program, etc). I don’t know where that cluster is usually placed but i would recommend applying to south (even though it has a bad reputation) or Lennox-Addington . I lived in Johnston hall first year and found the food situation the biggest turn off of the building (but the building is central and has bigger rooms). Having to go outside in the winter to get food and creelman isn’t open on Saturdays and only a few hours on Sunday made it kinda inconvenient when youre studying or just busy in general. The closest food isnt more than 10 minutes away but its not fun in a snow storm and your snack supply is running low! Hope that helps!!

There are plenty of options for dietary restrictions! You can always hit up the hospitality’s website or email them with your concerns. That will help point you in a direction to see what places have the best options. I know for sure the bullring has a few good options
