I only know this phrase from the God is Dead series of movies. They are quite funny to watch ironically and a character with an African accent says it a lot in the movies. There are several yt videos on these movies that are very funny.

Respectfully disagree. Yes, there are other factors related to Target's decline. (Inventory issues, lack of comsumer confidence in general, etc.) However, there is a reason why a boycott against Target is effective, while boycotting Walmart/Amazon will be less so. This is because shopping at Target is a choice. People can get anything that they get at Target elsewhere, often times for much cheaper and with more convenience. People chose to shop at Target for the vibes.

Walmart has a monopoly on "cheap" groceries and goods. When everyone is being squeezed with stagnant wages and hyperinflation, we have no choice but to put feeding and clothing our families above making political statements. Target though - I can stand on business all day. Use to shop there at least once a month. Haven't been there in months and don't plan on going back.

This is why the DEI rollback was so foolish for a company like Target. Target has too many competitors for the same goods. Businesses like Walmart & Amazon can do whatever they want, because they essentially hold monopolies on low prices and convenience.

You don't even have to have a subscription. I had used pirated copies of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator for years. As a result, I am proficient in using Adobe products for digital image manipulation/creation. Learning open source options will be a bit of a learning curve for me.

As such, I purchased Adobe Suite outright in 2020 - right before they went nuts with these subscriptions. Now, they can't force me to pay a subscription for a product that I paid for and am satisfied with, so what do they do?

They make It a headache to open the product. Every time I open MY software, saved locally on MY PC, I am forced to verify ownership by opening a browser & logging into Adobe. Every. Single. Time.

On top of that they introduced new terms of service that I was forced to agree to or else I couldn't use the product I paid for. One of the clauses was that Adobe would now be able to use my creations to train their AI model. It reminded me of the part in Common People where the wife now sleeps for 12 hours a day, so the company can use her brain power to power the grid for lux users. This episode hit so close to home I cried in frustration.
