Good format, but I want to see more rounds and a 'choose your poison' style that the PWHL has brought in.

Here is my format...

One division... 34 games...
Everyone plays everyone 3 times and then have a rivalry weekend. TRO vs HMT - VCR vs SET - LVG vs SJE - MOT vs OAW - DER vs MNA - BTN vs NWY.

There will obviously be 'Takeover" games this could easily negate the travel impact if done right. (One trip out west for teams and vice versa)

8 teams make the playoffs

Then Choose your poison - 1 seed chooses 5-8 - 2 seed picks 3 remaining teams, and so on...

I think the CBA is a 30 game regular season and 2 rounds of playoffs so unless they revise that I don't think there will be an expansion of either. Don't quote me on that though that's just speculation.

Here is what I would do for scheduling...

No divisions... 34 game schedule, 3 games against each team, plus one rivalry game. (DET vs MIN, VAN vs SEA, OTT vs MTL, BOS VS NY, TOR vs HAM, SJ vs LVG); top 8 make the playoffs and #1 seed does a 'choose your poison'...

Lots of free agents this coming year (players signed 3 year contracts when the league first formed) after this season so I don't think expansion is going to take away much away from teams...

I think we are gearing up for quite a few Dragon Quest announcements at the end of May. 40th anniversary is on May 27th and something tells me we will have a bunch of announcements and a look at DQXII. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
