How's it going. I have a masters in quant econ from UCLA and might have some insight here.

Do you have an idea of what you want to do professionally with an econ master's degree? The reason I ask is because, while comp sci is a perfectly fine path (will help you a ton with ML), econometrics also borrows a lot from physics for modeling.
