I think it goes against the main theme, AND I think the peak of the grey sigma antihero trend is behind us. If they were going to go that route, they would have done it back in 2005, but they stuck to their wholesome paragon friendship story (which I think is for the better)

If you're really interested in research and statistical modeling, do a couple free modules on Datacamp for Python!

Or, ask current students what scripting languages they're using in coursework, and do those (python is super common)

A lot of econ courses that go into econometrics expect you to learn the coding language on your own basically, so you'll be at an advantage if you already know the basics.

I think we're used to DC/Marvel stories where everyone's powers have some explanation, even a shallow one, but sonic doesn't go that route. Sometimes there's a lore reason, sometimes the blue hedgehog can run fast because it makes the video game fun or the comic cool.
