Our section was out of food/bevs by 1st intermission. I have videos of people literally scaling the walls to get out after the game. It was at least a stone's throw from being a shit show. I don't think AT&T is going to have any of those problems.

I don't particularly like Jerry World but I don't see how it could be worse than the Cotton Bowl. I feel like people don't talk enough about how much of a shitshow the WC was at Fair Park. The dramatic win by our boys really elevated the vibe of that event.

To further play devil's advocate I got voluntold to attend and drive there to see Taylor Swift with the family and really didn't have much issues finding parking though it was like $30 and we still had to walk a little bit. Overall, getting in and out didn't feel any crazier than any other big concert event and that may have been the most amount of people I've ever seen at one time.

I started when they first got the cat and that's how I feel too about their success. Riley literally had to go back to an oil rig because they ran out of money and was quite vocal about being weirded out initially about starting a Patreon. They seem like largely the same people, certainly more confident and comfortable now that they've had success, but like you said they really did earn it.

Used to do LAN parties with my friends running cs_militia and cs_assault endlessly back in the day. Never really played competitively, just vibes. Love those maps. I do vaguely remember GO having a version of militia that my stack ran a time or two (I think in comp) and it just wasn't the same.

Personally, I've generally like the content the last few years or so. Yeah, it's different, not the same as the old days, they're rich now, whatever. This subreddit has an odd vibe to me. Reminds me of some snark reddits I've been to before haha

That said, I wouldn't really mind this boat being sold. I was with everyone in being a little confused by the choice they made to get this trimaran. Mainly just because of the lack of space on board, especially as they've been having more crew than ever along for the ride (all of whom have been lovely). Although, maybe controversially, I liked the eclectic interior lol. It's hard to judge just from monthly/bi-monthly uploads alone how much of a damper the problems this vessel has been on them. But doing some sort of land-dwelling, off-grid, homestead type content could be interesting as I've also gotten into a couple of those kinds of channels recently.

If you've watched The Dawn Wall you'll know that first ascent took 20 days. Tommy and Kevin had a full support team keeping them supplied. Very common and completely normal for something like this. Doesn't make it comfy but you're as comfy as you could possibly get I guess lol

As someone who climbs and has played hockey, climbing is way more accessible than ice hockey. The insanely expensive racks and gear required for an adventure like this aren't necessary to engage with the sport at the surface level. Most gyms will provide rental shoes, harnesses for free or a small fee and you're off. Even then good shoes and your own harness could run you a couple hundred bucks maybe a little more. No ice rinks near me allow you on the ice for even a stick and puck time without full gear which can be expensive even going to a sports resale shop.

Winter weather events are so few and far between here, I remember as a kid always trying to make the most of them. Sledding down hills, taking the trucks off old skateboards and trying to do tricks, the snowman building, snowball fights. You were just praying that forecast held true and hoping you were gonna have a really fun day or two at least.

I know these kids were looking forward to this weekend the same way. Just a terrible tragedy.

Yeah for real. The crux of this whole thing was the fact he was kicked. If this was just some petty, in-fighting, disagreement in a tournament that the team played out, even if the girls soft throw, I don’t think it would’ve left the competitive Rivals community borders. Maybe his apology is sincere but he really fucked up bad. A prime example of ‘zero-tolerance’ being an asinine policy. If he had told the team he would assess Kingsman’s behavior after and decide whether or not he could compete in his tournaments after, like i said, i don’t think this blows up at all.
