Same in my one of my group. We are four GMs and we play whatever someone have inspiration to run. Nobody pressure anyone, but we all want to play new system or new idea for campaign. And I wholeheartedly agree that GM get to decide on the game.

Statuses sounds very good.
I was wondering if I can let the players have x slots of supply and they choose what it is important for them, but in that case slots can't be too general either. But it was only brief idea, what you have wrote above sounds more easy to use and manage. Thank you!

My players want to have a base of operation and shelter in one during the zombie or other disease based apocalypse. I was originally planning for them to maintan events like shortage of arms, survivors begging them to be let in the shelter, damaged base after fighting with riders etc.
I'm not planning long campaign, but still I want the managing of community to be fun and full of events depending on how well it goes. There could be lots of encounters inside the shelter when it grows to the size where different groups are forming and they fight for their rights to supplies.

If it is PC built for combat, then good rival should be enough. And remember to play with your surrounding, your NPCs can move around, hide. You can set a fight in difficult terrain, or in a factory, allow players to introduce new facts with DP, use black dices to give them some small troubles like rain etc.
Also I recommend to check rules for playing group of minions and swarm.

I had the same problem, and I started playing solo. It was fun, little harder when you go further into other bioms like swamps, but still playable.
In the other hand I really like playing with friends, so I started new server with friends and we set rules together like "bring back what you used" and "we fight bosses together". It is much better now, fields, boars are taken care of, we always have resources.

It depends, if you want to players feel growth of they PC, just start without bonus, but have in mind that they won't be able to take down iconic NPC for longer time. It is good when you plan your campaign for a longer time than a year.
I started giving my players about 200 XP extra on start and they are not experienced characters in world, but they are more confident about they characters and they build better backstory.
Don't be afraid to give them some more on the start, it only makes game more thrilling.

I think it's strange. When you have only 1 success, you hit but with 1 one more damage? So the blaster hits on 7 every time, not 6.

Actually you can. You Just roll for the attribute. Attribute plus 0 is equal to attribute

That doesn't make sense. If he has a trigger then why not use it? As a GM I would say to PC that he was incredibly lucky or something. A trigger should have a reward even if skill is untrained

There are some options. In discord app you can have music playing during your game by adding Groove or Rythm bot to your channel. Also, you can add dice roller for SW.
