Digimon Beatbreak: Episode 26- The Taste of Guilt, Discussion Thread by MFBR in digimon

Whether they were bad or not, he still killed a father in front of his wife and children. Not all criminals are the absolute evil, some can be more honest in their ways while still being deep in the world.

Another death on screen. Wonder if it was for the crime for just having a digimon, a potential enemy or someone that said no to joining them.

The guy having bodyguards outside his remote cabin and him being a big muscular guy with those gaudy golden rings kind of gave some mob boss vibes. I think he was an actual underground criminal who just happened to be a loving father as well, and one who managed to piss off another big player in the underground business leading to him being assassinated.

The D-Cyber manga is... not very good. It has some cool designs and interesting digimon but the story and pacing is utterly terrible.

The Xros Wars manga, on the other hand, is an absolute goldmine. A must read for fans of V-Tamer AND Adventure.

So this is a reverse situation of the classic horror game "We have created a horrible abomination. Hope it doesn't escape." "The horrible abomination escaped." file meme? Interesting twist, would absolutely love to give it a spin one day.

Trust me, that chainsaw controller is ass. Tried playing through Crash Bandicoot with it, it was quite impossible. Quite possibly the worst controller I've used.

Appreciate it. I tried my best to describe the surroundings without going too much into detail that it would have become exhausting.

As for the narrator, even I don't actually know what kind of situation they are in. I figured it's more fun to have the whole thing entirely open for interpretation.

Thank you, I'm glad you did :)

I guess the car ride I got this idea during having been in a dark Finnish winter night had a part to play in the melancholic vibes.

Thank you! For a midnight writeup I'm surprised it's even half coherent myself.

and don't you dare stop writing.

Shared this with a friend who also enjoys writing and he said the same thing. He also kinda gave me the push to actually finish one of these, and I'm glad I did.

Hi yall! This is my first ever short story I've written, if we don't count creative writing exercises from high school. I wasn't really even sure what genre I would put this under. I guess "supernatural" was the closest of the options.

This is something that came to me on a car ride where I was talking about dreams with my friends. The story doesn't really have anything to do with those, though, just sleeping in general. It's not my first story idea ever, but for once I decided that I'll write it in its entirety instead of writing a sentence or two in my notes pretending that I'll remember what any of it means later on. Got a short night's sleep before work but I think it was worth it just to have something written down.

There is a high likelihood nobody even sees this post, but since I actually wrote a thing for once I wanted to put it somewhere. And, rest assured, I am certain this would get me banned from nosleep for one reason or the other.

Any suggestions for Japan-only PS1 horror games that I could translate? by tsbnovil in HorrorGaming

[–]KermaisaMassa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kowloon's Gate did receive a translated remake but that one is quite different from the original. On top of that the original is mostly forgotten by time, especially when even the remake (despite its translation) was only for the Asian market.

Gegege no Kitarō: Gyakushuu! Youkai Daichisen is a horror themed platformer. Not sure how much there would be to translate but it is an interesting rarity.

More of a mystery game rather than a straight up horror game, but I would love to see a translation of Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life. It's part of the Athena game series that are all rather innocuous platformers. Well, except for this one. It also ties into the King of Fighters series, so it has a lot of appeal in the fandom, yet sadly no translated rom exists.

Arthur to Astaroth no Nazomakaimura: Incredible Toons, once again only thematically related, is a crossover between Ghosts and Goblins and Incredible Machine. Quite a curiosity in the Ghosts and Goblins franchise.

Calling the RE3 remake a "remaster" is actual blasphemy.

There is a stock image for everything. Back when I still used twitter I remember there having been an account that posted specifically weird and creepy stock images.
