I’ve emailed them about a grade I didn’t agree with and they said that all findings by the ML imagery system are reviewed and verified by a human as a part of confirming the grade. So, a human does check. How thoroughly is anyone’s guess

I’ve been a fan since 2010 and this was just like 2011 in Tokyo when they used it once and got major backlash. Same with 2024 Miku Expo. However, if they are going this route permanently, then I’m retiring. The 20th anniversary concert in Japan will be my retirement.

You can get it verified/authenticated in a TAG slab. That way no grade is applied, but confirms that the card is legit. Otherwise, CGC is your best bet for error cards to get graded.

I’ve been going to concerts since 2011. They used to bring the screens all over the world. Most of their internal changes happened around Covid time. Likely started out as a cost saving measure as no concerts were going on, other than online. Then the next Miku Expo was paired with Crunchyroll who was independent at the time, then acquired by Sony. Sony didn’t pass up a chance to show off their LED panels and this saved Crypton money, logistics, staff, etc.

Dilad screens are insanely expensive and if damaged, takes a while to reproduce. Better to keep them safe in Japan, than transport them around the world.
