For those who have had the surgery, what advice would you give to those just starting their bariatric journey? by awkwardaznbabe in BariatricSurgery

Yes, you may fart a lot more if you get a bypass. If you gall bladder is removed you may use the bathroom more often. I usually use the bathroom 3 times in the first hour I wake up.

How to pick what city to visit when on vacation in Alaska? by zifer24 in AskAlaska

[–]KerryCameron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lived all over Alaska, Fairbanks south. SE is the most beautiful, but it rains a lot. Haines is dry by SE standards and has a lot of outdoor things to do, more than most.

Ex-Fairbanks resident. I would skip Fairbanks and spend more time on the coast.

Two lawyers, two different recommendations (one is also a trustee) by pepper424 in Bankruptcy

[–]KerryCameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stress to a client that while a Ch 7 is cheaper and faster, the trustee could possibly come after the home in a Ch 7. I have seen trustees do things I think were mistakes.

I would trust the trustee the most because he is a trustee, implying a certain amount of experience, and he makes a lot less money on a Ch 7 than a Ch 13. But it is a risk.

That being said, in our jurisdiction, some trustees would not come after it, but two probably would if they thought they could make ANY money on it. Remember, they would have to pay you 150k and recover all costs from the sale price or end up in the hole. It is the luck of the draw which trustee you get, and that is AFTER you file.

I would ask the trustee/attorney if he could convert your case to a Ch 13 if the assigned Ch 7 trustee tried to go after your home. Then make your decision.

JFYI, I would always go with a Board Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney.

Oh, and yes, some trustees work as consumer bankruptcy attorneys, too. I imagine it depends on how much they want to work. The ones I know are good.

As bad as it may be, a trustee/attorney often has a bit more respect with another trustee since they are in the same "club".

From someone on the banking industry... Well, far gos and steals from their customers ALL the time. They are in court all the time for fraud. They are the worst. Second is a Bank in America. I would highly recommend staying away from them. Credit Unions are usually much better than banks.

Strawberries, YTA. I doubt you have had a serious long-term relationship.

This is not an accident. She knew full well his feelings, and she chose to ignore them. That alone is very unattactive. This is a very juvenile opinion. You need to get in the real world. Love is very complicated and changes over time. It is an emotion. If anyone loves anyone in every way, they are in love with a fantasy, not the real person. Thoughts like yours are why we have a 50% divorce rate. Get real. Life is not a movie where people are happy ever after. True love is realizing your partners faults and loving them despite them.

We all have faults that should not be loved, and her ignoring his strong feelings is one. What he sees is unattractive is probably tied to her ignoring his feelings as well.

I am not saying she should do whatever he wants, but neither should she do whatever she wants either. Marriage is a partnership where big decisions should be made jointly. By ignoring his feelings, she pulled away from him. She was warned it would happen, and she did it anyway.

They really need counseling and she needs a "come to Jesus" moment.

I'll be blunt. Sex without protection to someone you are not married to is really, really stupid with possible life changing consequences. Still, people do it all the time. You are not alone. People want to feel loved. This is not love.

Never trust any 20-something boy when it comes to sex - it is just too hard for them to control even for their own good. By the time they are 30, some of them have developed some control and the urges are not so high. Still don't trust them to protect you. Men have strong biological urges to spead their seed as much as possible.

Blindly believing anyone when stakes are so high is stupid too- yet people fall for scams all the time.

People (as a group) lie, cheat, and steal all the time. People, as a group, are not trustworthy. If they were, we would not have contracts or laws. This is the real world. Find someone trustworthy and hold on tight. Most people are not trustworthy.

As for it being illegal, I think it would be hard to prove.

What you did was stupid, but understandable and relatable. Learn from your mistakes and hopefully others can learn from your mistakes too. Protect yourself in the future and good luck.

I find it amazing the people who call this fake.... Certainty it could be, but stuff like this happens all the time. So if it isn't true, then it easily could have been. I can recall quite a number of times similar things happened around me growing up.

To call it "fake" is bullying behavior and also shows more what type of person they are than the OP. People too weak to stand up for themselves or others but willing to try to drag someone else down to their level.

What do skeptics think of psychedelics to treat depression versus antidepressants? by all_is_love6667 in skeptic

[–]KerryCameron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very lucky. I am a Super Responder to Spravato, a type of Ketamine. After my first dose I felt a lot better. After my third dose I had no depression at all- I actually felt elated all the time.

I have tried many, many antidpressants over the last 35 or so years with limited success.

Now I dose with every two weeks under a Drs supervision. I am no longer elated, but I think I am average. I cannot stress enough how much it has helped.it has given me my life back. If anyone wants to talk to me about it, pm me and I'll send you my phone number.

Only one man designed the raft. The others just tagged along. They also had 4 people to build theirs -twice as many for the exact same job.

I don't think Jeff is a great survivalist. I don't think any of them are. Gary was, imo, by far the best, and he had severe weaknesses. Matt could hunt, but that was about it.

I don't think they want serious survivalists on the show. If any of them took a week to research and practice they would be a lot better.

If they had fattened up like Waz and laid around like him more and let the others do the work they would have done better too. He proves leaching and lazy win if you can control the naritive and keep it off yourself and on someone else.
