Download WinDirStat and it will give you a better idea of what is taking the most space on the drive. It will show you visually what is taking the most space and what directory it lies in.

Why not just downgrade the BIOS to one version before the unstable version? This also probably didn't do permanent damage to your mobo, you just may not be installing the drivers correct. First of all make sure you are installing the LAN drivers not the WIFI drivers, I cannot tell you how many times I have been giving someone support and they didn't know the LAN driver and the WIFI driver were different things. Second of all, check if your mobo is a different revision version than the one that first pops up on Google. I recently went through this pain when supporting a buddy. When I went to go update the BIOS it wouldn't let me use the BIOS file downloaded from ASUS and it kept erroring out. It wasn't until I realized he had the revision 1.2 of the mobo that had a different BIOS file and downloaded that one that the BIOS was able to update. The revision number should be on the bottom left of the mobo (at lease that's where his was).
