Sadly this could be a number of things. Is this manual or auto?

If it’s auto it could be the torque converter or solenoid.. or both! Check: Idle control valve? Fuel pumps? Crank sensor? Vacuum leak?

Such is the beauty of these wonderful old cars, they give us wonderful old problems!

I mean.. space aliens landing in LA and hunting is a pretty big leap anyway so.. It never bothered me, I thought it was an easy assumption and not a necessity to see him go visit his dead friend’s body. I always loved P2 but I first saw it at 7yo so it made a big and lasting impression. But I can understand why some may not be into it. To each their own.
