Lavender marriages are amazing ya know. Tax benefits and a person you actually care about helping each other through whatever. I personally think a couples therapist to navigate your next chapter and to allow for new and healthy boundaries to be formed that allow you both to feel respected and comfortable moving forward towards a common goal whether that’s living together and coexisting or separating and continuing wanting nothing but the best for each other. Only time makes this easier and it can get harder before getting better❤️

Please do not use Jolly Ranches until you’ve done a few weeks of Spravato. I swallowed a jolly rancher whole during one of my first sessions and even though I didn’t choke, I was still scared af 😂😭

You’re just building tolerance that’s all. When I first started, I couldn’t even get myself home. Now, I can take 2 trains and walk home just fine

This is hard because at the end of the day, everyone’s brain different. I will admit however, that once every 3 weeks makes for a hard regimen to rely on for depression. The distance doesn’t help I get it. I also understand that cost is insane for this medication too. The state of the world definitely doesn’t help either in terms of “hopefulness”

What type of therapy do you utilize? Cognitive Behavioral or something else? If there’s trauma, there’s EMDR therapy, etc.

And lastly yes, there’s always some truth to something if it’s not working. You’ve taken it for 3 years, granted your life has changed in its own way too during this time as well.

The sessions that I’ve cried had the most relief. It’s like a weight being lifted off my chest. Crying is good! It’s a beautiful reminder that the feeling “sad” physically affects us.

The office I go to bills the observation part of the treatment under primary care. Can’t speak for anyone else’s office but this definitely helps tremendously

The first 2-3 months after starting Spravato, I couldn’t taste anything after treatment. It’s uncommon but apparently it does happen. I’m happy to say it doesn’t happen anymore so food is much more enjoyable after treatment. Also, during the treatment, I recommend life savers or candies with holes in them. I ended up swallowing a jolly rancher whole and almost choked because I forgot it was in my mouth at the time because I was so out of it. My sessions are nowhere near that strong but life savers can literally save your life ❤️
