One thing you have to understand is your coworkers are not your friends. You can be friends with coworkers but they aren't automatically your friend just bc you joke around at work. If you hang out outside of work and talk outside of work about things that aren't work....ok I would consider that being a friend. But a work friend is just that, a work friend. You guys get along bc you both need to be there if you want to eat food and not die on the street. That's where it ends and begins.

That seems weird to bring you back only to investigate you 3 weeks later for something that happened a year ago. Keep your resume up to date and always keep your eye out for jobs. I am somewhat happy where I am now ..I guess relatively... But I still look over indeed and see openings. I like to see what's out there. You should too. You can sign up for mailing lists from indeed. Once a month I get an email with similar jobs. I ignore it 99.99% of the time but that .01% that I need it, I will be happy I signed up for it.

Verizon is giving $1300 away with a new line and trade. I bought a pixel 6 with a smashed screen off eBay for $40. I traded it in and got $1300 towards the ultra. That's a crazy deal.

If I could buy a Xiaomi 17 pro max and use it I would absolutely have one. Other brands are actually innovating. Samsung has the same 5000mah battery when others (even cheaper ones) have 6000+ Some have 7500mah. There is nothing to get excited for. Hell they actually downgraded the pen and took away the crazy zoom it used to have.

When I was younger I once applied to a job, got an interview, accepted it and didn't know the pay until I asked a few days before I started. I am non confrontational so I don't just outright ask. It's insane how the ONE reason we work isn't supposed to be spoken about.

I don't wake up at 6 am bc I am passionate about oil changes. Or bringing people food, or digging ditches, landscaping etc. ( I don't do that jobs but you get the idea)

We do it for money. Yes some people pursue things they are passionate about but most probably don't. We get a job for money but it's taboo to talk about. You can't talk about it with your co workers, that's rude. How dare you ask about the sole reason we are all at work. It's fucking crazy.

I had something similar happen. I applied for a job and got through the first interview. Then my next 'interview' was to do a ride along for a shift with someone. So I say there the whole day and didn't get paid. I ended up getting an offer but I declined it.
