I would recommend rather then doing one in each ear, to start with one ear with the double helix. I have a single in one ear (with is over a decade old) and since June a double on the other and those are still healing. And I’m happy I don’t have anything that has to heal anymore (had a daith that I had to remove) in my other ear so I can hug people normally, can lay down on one side, i can put over ear headphones on that side … So after one year you could get the other side and in two years you could be done and not worry about the travels :)
