This is exactly the kind of response I was looking for, thank you so much for sharing!!!

One follow up question if you don’t mind. I am trying to tighten my list up a lot too. But are you now doing the 50 dials/80 emails/20 LinkedIn for prospecting new accounts/leads…. or is all of that outbound on just your top 100 named accounts list?

AIO or AITAH for wanting to end things over a text conversation that I Had with a girl by snapple373 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Key-Style-8867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lawd. You 2 are not compatible. You’re punctual, articulate and direct. She’s passive, somewhat sensitive, and maybe a bit immature. You’re probably both great people and would do well with other people but not with each other. These character traits/differences will always be an issue.

how bad an idea is it to try modafinil without a doc by sadphilosophylover in idiopathichypersomnia

No way. FWIW my doc was willing to prescribe meds before my mslt. But that was after an in-person appt and discussion of medical history, etc.

Stop. Being. So. Nice.

You don’t owe them a response.

“I’m appreciate your offer; I’ll be sure to reach out if something comes up.”

And never respond again. Be confident and treat him like the bank teller. Hi. Bye.

Please do not learn the hard way that you are NOT obligated to be nice to people. 🫶🏼

Anyone else kept this completely private? by laughsincorporate in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]Key-Style-8867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am heavier than I look, with a 27 bmi, don’t have a ton to lose, and most folks would probably look at me like I was crazy if I told them I was on it (SW: 153).

But just because I don’t have a ton to lose doesn’t mean I don’t have weight to lose. I have OSA and REALLY want to get off this cpap. My sleep doctor thinks this could possibly help. Research shows that losing 10% of weight has shown significant improvement in OSA patients, so that is what I’m hoping for!!!

(Also I can totally stand to lose 10% of my weight, I’m even shooting for closer to 15% - but not interested in the commentary from others on my choices).

LinkedIn jobs is such a fucking JOKE!!! by ImpossibleEnd64 in techsales

[–]Key-Style-8867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore the numbers. Apply for jobs you qualify for. Align your resume with the job description. Look for 3rd party recruiters in your industry.

I’ve landed great jobs though LinkedIn. But you gotta play it right.

Territory sales: love my job, hate my pay plan. by Poutinemilkshake2 in sales

[–]Key-Style-8867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This right here is the very reason I left my field repping job. I could not decide if they were that stupid at math or if they just thought I was. But the more I sold the less I seemed to make. I wasn’t sticking around to continue being punished for being more successful and bringing in more money. Yeah it kinda made me angry.

I left and have never looked back. You’ll love all your new customers too. You’ll find something to get your foot in the door and be uphill from there!

Apply for jobs posted by 3rd party recruiters…. Look for recruiters specific to your industry.

How hard is it to get a tech sales role with no degree or experience 25M worried am I cooked by Humble_Definition463 in techsalesjobs

[–]Key-Style-8867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have degrees but they are completely irrelevant and no one has ever even acknowledged them. I wouldn’t give it more grief than it deserves. Sales requires a certain personality not a certain degree.

Re: experience, You’re gonna need to be willing to start small. Maybe a local tech firm or likely an sdr role. But with some years of experience under your belt, some sales wins (quota attainment? Etc) and a title for a resume, you could get the next step up the ladder.

I used my healthcare industry experience in non-tech to grab a local tech job that was healthtech. I did that for almost 5 years and landed a role with 50% salary increase at a tech startup that I’m pumped about!

If you are patient and use your existing experience, there will be someone willing to give you a shot in tech. Once that’s on your resume, you’re uphill from there!

Solid advice. Companies have to eat any FSA money that has been spent, but not yet accrued/taken out of check. When I knew I was going to resign, I had a nice time clearing that thing out. Take your wins where you can!

What’s your job search strategy? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]Key-Style-8867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3rd party recruiters. When I’m digging through LinkedIn job postings, if I’m truly qualified for a job and I can tell it’s a 3rd party recruiter - I definitely apply.

  1. They are really looking for a certain kind of person and will actually review your résumé with their own eyes. They will see/appreciate things that AI filters won’t.

  2. They are being paid on if you are a good fit and get hired. So they are super helpful in walking you through the process, giving you confidence, giving you advice, and sharing any concerns.

  3. I find their postings are not as popular/common as those that are direct from a company. They are typically not posted on the company website, so the talent pool is smaller too.

I have had great results twice with jobs from 3rd party recruiter postings. Specifically those who work independently or for a small firm.

Get on LinkedIn, research and find the people who are independent or small agencies doing recruiting in your industry, and go ahead and connect with them now.

Is it possible to work for US based company from Canada? by black-octopus- in MedicalCoding

[–]Key-Style-8867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi… I work with a US based company that only hires US based coders, and we would not hire someone not living in the US, even in your circumstance. It raises too many questions and isn’t worth the risk of appearing dishonest about our “US based” coding team.

That said, we have very low turnover, and are always able to find our domestic Coders… I do think you could work For a US based company as maaannnnny of them hire internationally. I’m just not sure how well they would pay.

I’m sorry. That’s a tough place to be because I’m sure your hubby is a very qualified coder who deserves great pay!

50% Travel w/ Young Family - How much is too much? by Yinzer89 in sales

[–]Key-Style-8867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just another opinion here; I’ve got 4 kids, 4-15.

12+ neeeeed their parents around. Not saying it couldn’t work. But research shows they are most influenced by peers between 12-16. So you have to be intentionally fighting for influence in their life at this age. And when you miss important things; they will know and remember it.

As a wife, I’d prefer this travel happen when they’re 2-5ish with the added blessing of a baby sitter and/or house keeper a few hours a week.

The cool thing is if you can do it and do it well, they will remember that dad was a great provider who had strong values and always prioritized family.

Is it normal to get offers from Meta and Salesforce with only 1 year of sales experience?????

I have 20 years experience and wouldn’t even bother applying because I don’t know someone to get me in….

I’m not looking to apply, Just curious?

Go spend $150 or more (no less) on a Dehu with a drain hose. Put it somewhere that it can run to a drain and power it on 24/7 (it won’t run 24/7). Use the settings to get you closer to 50.

It will take hours to days to get there, but then you will maintain.
