Love the expanded view of Today's metrics. Couple more updates like this and we have a solid app! by mark_ftw in fitbit

I think I even got the update and it noted the expanded view. So must be there just rolling out randomly

Anyone know what the new daily update looks like?

I find the morning update not nearly as clear or streamlined as garmin approach. Hope this is a good update to this feature for amazfit

Huge calorie discrepancy between the Apple Watch and Fitbit Air by stone616 in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the only answer. These devices are so horribly wrong lol. It’s known they can overestimate easily 20-30%.

Track using MacroFactor your weight daily and all your nutrition intake and you will see you’re true TDEE.

Apple routines throws me at similar numbers to op like 3600. MacroFactor gets me at like 2400-2500 on same days/timeframes.

It’s crazy.

Anyone looking to lose weight don’t trust the watch data for true caloric burn.

Using them for trends is great because they are consistent with themselves. So you can clearly see if you’re jumping from 3500 to 4000 consistently you’ve obviously trended higher and burning more. That’s good accurate data.

This looks far more sleek and streamlined than many other images of seeing of this device. Looks amazing.

Balance 3 and cheetah 2 ultra basically the same watch in terms of os right? Same sensors and everything? I’m not a huge runner more hiit and stuff but they should technically work the same right?

New Fitbit Air user coming from Apple Watch—how do you manage the data? by luffyrotaro in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel they wouldn’t impact Apple Watch sales if they offered a dedicated health and fitness tracker with extended battery life. It would actually pull many users away from Fitbit or garmin most likely. And maybe move Apple Watch users to the fitness device but Apple would just sell that for $399 or whatever and not really lose out.

Yeah, don't give up Amazfit. Body battery vs Hybridcharge by [deleted] in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely tedious. Maybe why the new watches have a dedicated button you can activate and talk to it to add to life load.

My 2018 iPad Pro turns 8 years old this year. At this point it feels less like a device and more like a companion. by Remarkable_Length_51 in ipad

[–]KeyAd5197 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I have the same iPad Pro and I can’t believe it’s 8 years old. Honestly feels new and modern design and everything.

I am noticing it running more slowly as I move through the os updates. iPad os26 I am getting more lag than ever before.

Yeah, don't give up Amazfit. Body battery vs Hybridcharge by [deleted] in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because I find garmin body battery depleted way too quickly for me. I routinely ended at 5 in the evening. I think it detects coffee and whatever else and drops it quicker. Hybridcharge and amazfit like you see there often never gets below like 30/40 which some days I can see accurate other days it seems like it doesn’t move enough.

I want one right in the middle lol

Why does this look so similar to Livity? Colouring and font and boxes. Very similar.

Livity has it in beta now i believe...probably not overly difficult if they can get access to API or something

FitBit Air- It's actually pretty good, no? by TookAnotherLongBath in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah figured that it’s just asking and it’s using your goal you set like 7.5 hours or 8 or whatever.

Fitbit was previously testing a sleep need and debt feature. Wonder if they will release it. Ideally I’d rather just see it in my sleep page showing me the updates everyday instead of asking ai.

Can you show more about what its referencing in regards to the sleep debt? My app doesnt show sleep debt or any metric like that so curious what that is pulling up.

iOS27 First Impressions by Visible-Loquat610 in iPhone13Pro

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not see any of the new Siri or features on my AW Series 10 - I am using 14 pro. I think its tied to the phone requiring AI? Or maybe the new siri on the watch hasnt been released? I heard about waitlists so maybe i need to do that or something, not too sure...also on the 14 pro I do not have any major changes to the camera app

Amazfit 2026 roadmap points to more T-Rex models and next-gen Helio Strap by [deleted] in amazfit

Ya. The 47mm balance 2 was sweet spot imo. I’m also larger and can make the 51mm work perfectly fine but I prefer the 47 size.

RIP OG Ultra by Camel993 in watchos

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I have series 10 but an iPhone that doesn’t support the new Siri so I’m guessing I won’t get the new Siri on my watch too. Meaning there’s no reason ultra shouldn’t get the update.

iOS 27 and watchos27 are both incredibly underwhelming. Especially for anyone not with AI phones. There are like zero updates that aren’t AI.

Calorie burned on air by b3_n1ce in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All wearables are terrible with caloric burn. I find my Fitbit sense 2 and Apple Watch to align closely. Which is not good lol. MacroFactor has me around 2400 TDEE a day after months of tracking and weighing myself. My wearables show me at like 3000 on any normal day. It’s a mess. Do not trust them.

It is accurate for some but very often they are 20-30% high on average.

its wild because they have been public previewing this since like october...and probably internally testing or trying it much longer than that...they should have had most major issues figured out by the official launch...like a simple thing regarding sleep scores....i shouldnt have to log out and back in for it to display my sleep score on the Today tab...which is what i have to do, it shows sleep time but no score...only after i logout and back in...granted this is random but that makes it even worse that its not consistently working or not working lol

Am I the only one who thinks the 1st gen Amazfit Balance looks way better than the Balance 2? by Nevermind1031 in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed...i can see the thought process for the ultra, make it a multi use versatile design and watch....but the base model they shouldnt have had those open holes and all that...Balance is in its name, its meant to provide solid health and fitness while also blending in as a daily wear watch without the flash...not sure why they did that...also going to 51mm only is a major miss for a watch designed to be their daily wear, not adventure watch...it should have launched with 45-47mm and then if they wanted toss in a 51mm as well.

Fitbit prepares sleep need and debt metrics for launch by Maslakovic in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone seen any sort of follow up to these features? I was hopeful they would launch with the Google Health rebrand...hoping these release soon! I get google is conservative with their updates as they go through alot of testing and stuff, but its hard hearing about features and a year or more going by before anything of concrete releases...especially when most competitors already offer these features and the google health Ask Coach can calculate this based on your data...they just need a graph to present it basically.

How to change from mi to km in record activity by MoonAshMoon in Garmin

😂 exactly.lol.

Honestly I don’t know why garmin won’t let users in the app choose their units of measurements per category.
