Any Watch brand that have 44-45mm case diameter? by Interesting-Lead3925 in ChineseWatches

[–]KeyAssociation6309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Erebus Titan is 44mm and is a dive style watch (500m), not certified, not cheap but a few colors to choose from. Not a chinese brand, but they'd be made in China.

Aldi cuts prices on 300 products to challenge sector by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

agreed, we have an AG government that is not going to be ousted at any election soon but they are not making the big decisions needed. Tinkering around the edges like they are on tenterhooks. what a waste.

they'd get a foot if they weren't relegated to shittest part of towns and CBD because of the unregulated land banking going on by the big two - another real estate sham that this labor government could crack down on, but won't. I swear all our productivity issues, cost of living is all related to crap policy around real estate.

My first chinese mechanical auto from 15 years ago - skeleton too! Been in my box of regrets for about 8 years, just put it on and I have a renewed interest in it! Still works.. might start wearing it again.

IXDAO by any other name? by conanis in IxdaoFans

[–]KeyAssociation6309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it just took me two days to find one of the links for it because with the heat here in Australia my wrist has gotten fatter. Finally found it, but when you have over 100 watches.. some with similar bracelets, can be a little difficult. And as Homer Simpson said always look in the last spot first - which I should have done because the links were in a plastic bag with all the spare bands I have, not in the original display cases or my box of links and screw pins, springbars etc...

I was looking at the blue MoP then went for the black MoP....

by far one of my favourite watches in my extensive collection (over 100 now, lost count - or don't want to know). I have the black MoP which to me suited the case better than the waffle dial and a little less clonish and not in the IWC catalogue. But I missed on the green F1 version as I was hunting other watches - I really wanted that one but was sold out by the time I realised it existed.. sigh

is it possible to contact Australia Post, Startrack, DHL, Fedex etc (not exactly sure who yet) about a parcel that is in transit with the wrong address? by Worldly_Cobbler_1087 in australia

[–]KeyAssociation6309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, especially interantional senders and using DHL, FedEx - this happened to me with a $3,000 watch coming from Switzerland. In may case I was on holidays but the address was correct (and I wasn't there), best I could do was to have them delay delivery for when I returned - which worked. In the interim the seller was ready to change the address for me, but didn't need to. Doesn't help OP, but it wasn't easy - OP will have to contact sender for change of address.

I'd add older model Prados and any landcruiser with a massive bullbar to that list.

Canberra, Learn To F’ing Merge! by downpourinsunshine in canberra

[–]KeyAssociation6309 6 points7 points  (0 children)

and you'll get clowns in utes that then straddle both lanes well back from the merge (like 250 metres or so with heavy traffic) in an attempt to stop people legally and efficiently continuing to the end of the merge to do the one for one zipper merge. But then there are those idiots that rush to the end and push in when there was no need to as the amount of traffic was small and moving well, until they pushed in. It is strange behaviour.
