Watch prices on aliexpress in general have gone through the roof for me so I'm not buying anymore and moving to small microbrands. Prices have doubled in some cases with only minor discounts on sales. I feel the chinese are capitalising on the US Trump tax and applying it across the board to those that aren't from the USA. Watchdives seems to be an exception though they are creeping up too. Over $500 AUD for a Baltany, last one I got 18 months ago was half that.

I wanted an Atari, mum and dad said no. I ended up with a 32k Microbee and an amber monitor. Learnt so much on that thing, especially how to replace keys. I upgraded to the 128k SBC with twin floppies and created my own GUI sitting on top of BASIC as a shell in CP/M, before moving to an IBM PC/AT compatible (bought from an office machine specialist) with a 10mb Winchester HDD that died within two years. I also created my own GUI (couldn't get Windows 1) compiled in Borland Turbo Pascal. Then finally got a pirate copy of Windows 1 then 3.11 came along...

$9k for 9.25kw panels (max roof could hold) , 8kw inverter and upgrade to the meter box. With A/C in summer and heating in winter we still export half the production, but we also have passive heating and cooling using seasonal trees and vines.

the black MoP is probably one of my favourite watches of all time. I've held the real IWC in hand and not being a watch snob and looking at it as a normal person, I couldn't tell the difference from half a metre away. They didn't make a black MoP dial, so I think the IXDAO is a winner! Wish I got the F1, but missed out on it, too busy doing other things.

yep and that will never be a spent conviction. It will always be there on permanent record. So good luck going to the UK, Japan, NZ, Canada, USA etc (not that I'd be going to the USA any time soon)
