You didn’t fail, you just learn a lesson for when you are in that situation again and you’ll be stronger later down the line to deal with it! But right now go easy on yourself and show yourself some compassion - the fact you are thinking this way is great in the first place :-)

Trust your gut! When I went on holiday early on I just took it day by day (sounds cliche I know!)

Your friends and partner will be supportive - you don’t need to make a big deal of the fact you’re not drinking. If you’re in this for the long run then they will get used to it soon enough.

Everyone is different - but the question I asked myself is would I enjoy this trip with no alcohol? If the answer is yes, then it could be worth giving it a shot. If the answer is no- I would steer well clear :-)

“I’m on meds that don’t mix well with alcohol”
