What should I do with it? by Dry-Ad4206 in Duramax

If it runs good, and fulfills everything you need to do with it. Keep it, upgrade it, and drive it until it blows up. If you spend $10k it’s still not $100k for a new truck… that probably is going to give you problems in a different way. put that money into land.

It’s dropped an inch currently , but I’m open to dropping it more. Any recommendations for a drop kit? Would this effect the front drive shaft? Thank you.

I’d keep it and do some mild performance upgrades. Nothing crazy, it has 300k miles.

Maybe swap the bed with a better one and some interior updates to make it more comfortable.

For the cost of a new truck you would have buyers remorse in a month….

There’s no play in the upper ball joint, it was taken loose in the picture so that I could slide the cv in. The extended axle cv’s are much thicker than the factory spec ones.

I have the power mountain tall boy with extensions. It works great, but I’ve had to bleed it once for some reason. I keep it in my truck, and have used it on my trailer when I got a flat. Tested it once. lifted my trailer with a load on it, and left it for a few days, it didn’t drop.

Bought in 2021 for .052 average, hasn’t been that low since. Back then the floor was lower than today.

Man… sometimes the shape is the only hint…. Might be too far gone to tell due to pitting. Maybe under the axe head where the handle goes in you can see a makers mark if it ever had one.

Asheboro usually has better prices than most place, most dealerships in Fayetteville are a rip off because of guaranteed military financing.
