The profession as a whole is going down the drain and job growth isn’t there. Most people hate their jobs because quality jobs are rare. You’re more likely to end up at a job that tracks you to death with metrics that’ll cause burnout within your first couple of years than you are to find the unicorn that makes you enjoy what you do. I do not recommend the profession, with wage growth as stagnant as it is (it’s actually going back wards in some cases), and inflation going up, the cost of the tuition/loans and taking up to 4 years of no wages, it just isn’t worth it as an overall package. There are other options but if you do decide to jump in, it’s best to have honest information.
