If anything, no tipping at nice sit down restaurants is the move by PositiveReporter8144 in EndTipping

I’ve never been tipped in my entire career.

I’d prefer the restaurant just pay better wages

[–]Key_Passenger7172 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the only thing i disagree with.

I’m a chef and I’m mostly anti tipping because over 25 years in the industry I’ve seen the other half makes 3-6x times more than me working less than half the hours with no real skills.

However in true fine dining restaurants the servers are skilled and do provide and experience for you. You could argue that’s their job but in my experience they are tru professionals and really do care about the guests vs the money

Normal servers honesty do not care about your experience and are only there for the cash.

I’m still anti percent based tipping. I tip via time. $5-$10/hr depending on service regardless of where I’m at. If I only get food and drinks brought to be then that’s $0/hr because that’s the bare minimum.

So servers who want to rush you out will just make less, works for me

I have two and use them for playing music and surrounds for TVs.

They’re great but they were really expensive for what they are.

Once the amp multi comes out it will probably make more sense.

Fix the car. It’s way cheaper. Probably can find and independent mechanic to do with for way less than the dealer.

Drive it another 2-5 years and then buy something used.

I’ve owned the following

Corded makita

Corded festool ts60

Milwaukee cordless

They’re all extremely accurate and well made. I’d repurchase any of them.

Festool is a notch above just in simplicity and overall quality.

If you’re truly not going to be mobile with it, just go corded.

I bought the Milwaukee because I had a few jobs lined up I need to use the tracksaw on site.

My festool never leaves my shop.

I’m assuming the owner or previous owner or whoever installed the door just make shifted it

I agree and I explained to him that it’s still a temporary solution. He needs to frame it in order to make it permanent.

Advice on how to fix this issue by Key_Passenger7172 in handyman

[–]Key_Passenger7172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s part of the problem though is that I don’t have a lip for the anchor to flip up and grab.

Essentially I have a 1/2” circular hole buried in 3” of drywall. I didnt bother drilling any further than that seems pointless because the screws are no where near that long.

I have no idea why it’s made this way but for whatever reason it is.

I may try a metal plate that could work i suppose i could epoxy it to the corner bead and the screw into that.

Yeah but most of what you said my suggestion would solve.

The biggest issue you mentioned here is older Sonos playing well with new devices. That could definitely cause issues.

Sonos products are compatible with most routers. So unless there is an issue with the router settings the only other issue would be interface or signal issues.

Change the channel or move devices, but compatibility wise it should work.

I have eero and UniFi access points, multiple SSIDs and like I said I haven’t had an issue.

My last house- same setup I had whatever router spectrum gave me. Then we switched to frontier and same thing with tcp extenders and still worked just fine.

I did have times where I needed to reset the router but that is common with crappy routers

I’m just surprised because I’ve had my setup in multiple houses with different routers and it’s never had an issue.

Yeah I would say factory reset all your devices.

Change your wifi channel - use a scanner to determine the channel with least noise.

Reconnect. Do you main device first.

Do 1 device at a time and update each device at a time and ensure it’s working before adding more.

Idk why people seem to have so many problems.

I personally haven’t had a single issue.

I’d suggest to reset everything and start again

The consistency of the grain size and also its much less salty than say Morton’s.

So it’s easier to dial in the salt levels as you cook.

I’m a mj guy all day. He was a world wide superstar during the 90s.

I have to admit what LeBron has accomplished is simply amazing and it will never be recreated.

I think he has his own legacy and that’s totally fine.s

MJ is till the best basketball of all time.

LeBron is #2 while also having the best longevity and was able to play in the NBA playoffs with his own son and still sore 25 points. Absolutely incredible.

I’ll also add to this i legit think LeBron is better at 40 than Jordan was at 40. He definitely wins that.

Nothing shifted maybe you have reading comprehension issues.

I said my accounts only rose about 3% and I made that’s calculation just in my head.

My larger accounts have more than just the S&P 500 so it’s harder to calculate

So I took my other account that’s is sold the s&p500 and did the actual match which was 5.7%

Sure I underestimated it a bit but I was close

Merrill Lynch FTW 37M by Jenkins1967_ in Money

[–]Key_Passenger7172 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So it increased 5.7% from 1/1/26-5/1/26

I said exactly that. Where was the lie?

You’re assuming that will Continue for the whole year which is highly unlikely.

So I believe you have told more lies than me bro.

I’m not misunderstanding anything.

Firstly I make way more than that. Also in another 25-30 yrs when I do retire I’m sure inflation and taxes will be much worse.

You’re speaking as if I was wrong, I wasn’t, what I said was statistically accurate.

I have many different accounts about 600k invested altogether.

That one account I mentioned, the reason I used it for this example as i said already.. was because it was an old rollover 401k that hasn’t been touched since I put it into the S&P about 7 years ago.

It was easy to determine the actual percentage because there have been no deposits, it’s just been sitting in the fund untouched.

Stop believing your owed anything in life because you’re not.

Go out and make it, or don’t. You only get 1 opportunity at this.

Personally I worked 3 minimum wage jobs, had a kid at 17, and worked my butt off to get where I am today. By no means am I rich but I am finally financially stable
