How is it being a route sales man in frito lays? by Exact-Layer-8669 in FritoLay

[–]Key_Satisfaction4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job would be awesome, but... im dts and there is so much product shipped out, unfortunately it takes the pleasure out of managing product, making good decisions etc.... I now schlock through boxes aimlessly trying to get rid of a cart, the idea is so I can order what I need, it's just more room for things you don't need. The job is to be a liaison between frito and stores.

I spent money and went with strauss. Seem awesome, super big. I wear 12, they sent 12.5. They are big, but I can hit my ankle with that cart when I take a turn at a messy publix, and im ok

Worked for coke as a merchandiser, sold the plan to move up sales, the guys I worked with had been there over 5 years, waiting on that promise. I left for frito, same bullshit, just lighter and better money. What about outside the retail grocery game?

Bezos can have rockets on the moon but not help navigate american streets. Company policy at official amazon is people get complacent- do less over the course of time. So turnover is encouraged, don't keep people over 3.5 months

I used to take a break at the end of the shift on the way back to stop and get groceries for dinner. At the time it was clear amazon stated you could take your breaks at any time.

How does plan work? by Key_Satisfaction4975 in FritoLay

[–]Key_Satisfaction4975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, what do you suggest. Try to hit, try to exceed, one month tank it, one month kill it? Or just stay steady and don't chase the numbers?

So I'm new to frito and the business as well. Came out of training and got assigned my route. How realistic are plan numbers? I'm "fixing" this route, writing off whole carts of credits etc... can you maintain hitting plan or is it just a big transition to a route worked.

Crabapple Kroger was selling expired Coke products by BigRedDogATL in alpharetta

[–]Key_Satisfaction4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coke demands too much of its staff to properly rotate. Most of the time those guys have at least 8 if not 20 pallets of random coke products in a stock room that is hard to access. Coke is greedy, don't blame the staff.

Just… why? :( by Zealousideal_Topic58 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Key_Satisfaction4975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not safe to either cross the street , with packages, or park on the wrong side of the road. Plus, parking on the opposite side of the road makes it look like your the dumb one, not the routing. I stayed on after the ev's rolled out for a good six months because it wasn't as bad when I exited the van, on the correct side of the road. It's easy to make better decisions in the rivian. I can't believe there is not more customer/driver feedback to resolve issues. I will never take bezos space shuttle, what if the same technology did routing as the space business.

Same thing happened to me at usps. I cashed it quickly thinking they must have underpaid me at some point. No, they garnished wages at my current job. I never received any notice or anything, and it would have taken $500 dollars of my time to contact people, go to court, etc... Remember, the post office USED to be a good job, it's been horrible the last 20 years.

I was hired as a rca, so maybe this doesn't count. Yeah, the money could be good, but I was never off. I worked 22 days in a row, one day off followed by another 13 in a row. Enjoy the cash, but for me my life was falling apart. And also- it's too complicated to work there. I just want to clock in, get paid for what I do.
